Diamondback BMX Brake Pads

I installed these on a Haro BMX bike I fixed up for a friend's son. They were economically priced, easy to install and most importantly, lock up the back wheel with a firm squeeze of the brake handle. I have not operated them in wet conditions, so I cannot speak to the effect moisture will have, but when dry, they grab the rim hard.

Great replacement brake pads for my son's Razor Drift Trike. The trike needs grippy pads so you can stop the wheel and drift. These are perfect. They're shorter than adult bike pads so they fit the wheel very well too.

Braking power increased. My only gripe is somebody at the Diamondback factory (or wherever these are packaged) left out ONE of the special concave washers that allows the pad to angle and rest on the wheel correctly. This means that only a fraction of that pad is contacting the wheel. Took a star off because of this. Amazon however did great.

I'm converting a 30 year old drop-bar road-bike for more upright riding. The good old side-pull brakes did not work well with the different leverage of the mountain bike brake levers that I added. These "Softee" pads give GREAT grip and sufficient braking even with the lesser leverage. Highly recommended for replacing old/hardened pads or for improving brake grip. You do need metric Allen wrench. You should have a little experience adjusting brake pads. The high grip means they might squeal horridly unless you "toe-in": set the front to contact before the back.

not the ones i was hoping for but they work okay. These ones are the newer black rubber models. I ordered this thinking they might be the old light grey colored pads that were on the market a few years ago which were inexpensive, quiet, and yet still very sticky even in wet or snow/ice conditions. I could lock up the wheels riding through slush or freezing cold in the snow. Buy them if you can find them in grey.

My dog pulls me on the bike 5 days a week, and I end up riding the brakes a lot of the time. After replacing the pads with a factory set and dealing with squealing for the first 2 months and terrible noises after getting new rims, I thought I'd try these. I've been using them for 2 months now and really like them. I haven't had any noise, and they do seem to offer more stopping power. I'm hoping they'll last as long as the harder material, but the price as an add-on I'll keep buying them.

I really like these pads. They stop great and don't really make noise. I tried the Odyssey slim by 4 pads (both clear and black) and they both squeaked horribly on polished wheels. The wheels are clean and free of contaminants and tried with proper toe in and mounted flatly. These pads however work great, don't make all the noise, and are priced much lower than the Odyssey pads.

The things made my kids bike stop. When we didn't have them he would just have to run into something to stop. I like having these better (though it isn't as much fun watching him stop anymore). They installed easily in less than 10 minutes on the crappy Big Box store mountain bike he has.

I ordered these brake pads when the pads on my BMX wore down and they worked perfectly, they were a little big but other than that I would totally recommend these to all my friends

Looking for brakes that would fit onto a woman's Garneau bike. It arrived quickly, installed on the weekend and biking on Monday. No troubles yet.
