This is a very easy to use wood filler, since it is water based the cleanup is great and it sands easily. It does the job without much work, and is easy to adjust the consistency with water.

The stain blemished Timbermate's reputation--or rubbed me against the grain
The stain I applied softened the filler, mixed with it, and became considerably darker than the surrounding wood. Were one able to stain the surrounding area, then apply the filler, then the sealant, this might have worked admirably.

Disappointing - leaves cracks as it dries - and not even close to teak color
This is a big disappointment. It shrinks as it dries, leaving open cracks, and it is nothing like teak in color - actually a light yellowish. I'm trying to stain it to get it darker.Next time I get to my boat I will pack up the open and unopened bottles, and ship it back.
