UPDATE: It works! I was just using it incorrectly. In the instructions they say that the units work in only one direction. So, it the LED does not light up, you just invert the connection, and it will start working. I learned it from the video that accompanied the product. So I now have to cancel the return and start using it. I upgraded the stars from 1 to 5. However, pl. note that I have not checked the data speed, only power delivery. When I do check the data speed, I will report back here. I ordered this product. It is nicely made and looks sturdy. Each unit has a white LED that shows the unit is working. However, after a few hours of usage, each of these failed. The light does not come up. Interestingly, they did not fail during usage. The failed when they were not being use -- it seems to me. I need to research more and look for a longer-lasting connector. Or if I am not using it right. If so, how else can a connector be used properly?

Others need to be aware that it matters how you connect the cables. It is stated in the information but it can easily be missed. It an only be used in one direction.

Getting this helped me take two cables together into one longer cable.

Works as expected except for one minor detail - the socket side of every piece (both the up and down angles) face the same way. This normally doesn't matter if you connecting a normal USB plug into it but if you need to chain multiple angle adapters this may not work. For example if you connect two up angle adapters you should get a 180 degree (or U) adapter but instead you get an S shape instead. Sure in this specific use case you pair an up with a down and get the same effect...but suppose (like in my case) you have some other USB device that is already an "up" angle and I wanted use this to add an additional 90 degrees - I can't since the socket is flipped backwards. Effectively the up adapters will invert any left/right or up/down adapters plugged into them. Other brands of up angle adapters don't have this issue which I have to go buy now. These will be useful elsewhere just be aware of this odd quirk if your use case expects specific orientations. (Another way to think of this is that you should be able to make a full circle using 4x up _or_ 4x down angles only but you can't with these. Too bad USB-C's invertible design came so late in the USB lifetime as it did - flipping USB plugs around is the bane of all USB (non-C) users...)

There are times when a particular USB port on a PC can be downright hard to reach. These little 90 degree adapters can be a real help when needed. I use these on a few different PCs. The one that needed this the most is the rear port on the little Acute Angle Mini PC. This little PC only has a single rear USB 3.0 port. You almost need to be a contortionist to plug anything into the rear port. This adapter is no easier to plug into the rear port but you only need to go through the hassle once. Once this adapter is in place all USB peripherals are easy to plug in. For this particular PC, I plug in a 4 port USB 3.0 hub and leave it plugged in. Another benefit to these is once installed, there is no more wear on the PCs USB port. It's uncommon but there is always a risk of ruining a USB port while trying to plug something in. I've done it and I doubt I'm alone in this. If you ruin the female port on an adapter it's very cheap to replace. If you ruin a USB port on your PC it will be both difficult and expensive to replace. This is a very small amount to spend for a great deal of protection.

These work great to charge my samsung s22, they are just a little bulky and stand off the wall a bit past the baseboard width, so you can't just shove a dresser In front of them amd run your cable up or down if you have them in a USB enabled newer plug socket.
