AVR-S750H 7.2-Ch x 75 Watts A/V Receiver w/HEOS (Renewed)

Review for the demon AVR S750h. I bought this reconditioned. It arrived on time and in perfect working order. Had no signs of being used at all. Have this for 5.2.2. Dolby Atmos is subtle ( maybe because I have top mount Atmos speakers and not ceiling mounted.). It’s still cool nonetheless. Picked this receiver not only for the value but for the enhanced ARC. I have a Yamaha with the audio return channel but it doesn’t put out in 5.1 when streaming Netflix from tv. This Denon does that and Atmos as well. Like others have said about Denon, the onscreen menus could use an update.Also the Audeosy calibration was easy to set up. It has the HEOS built in but I have no intention of buying a HEOS speaker so I can’t comment on its functionality.

I find nothing to criticize. Did not rate tech support because I did not require any. Setup went well, though I have some experience with home audio. We're very happy with the sound quality and power, and it seems to interface well with our Sony TV and Samsung BluRay player. Like many large receivers, it can run a bit warm, especially if it is in cramped quarters. To avoid possible heat damage I installed a simple USB-powered cooling fan that is extremely quiet and inexpensive to run. The fact that this was a refurbished unit was not noticeable in any respect.

Had some difficulties with set up. The Blu-ray player worked without a hitch. The Amazon Firestick at first didn't work at all, then as if by magic a day later all was good. My PC wasn't recognized until I used the AUX input in the front. After that, the sound has been great and everything works well.

I didn't know Amazon offered refurbs util I stumbled across this. The unit was clean, unmarked, well packaged, and included everything expected. Frankly, I never expected this level of quality for Amazon refurbs. I'm mightily impressed.The receiver is great, I assembled the microphone stand and let it run its little test of chirps and buzzes. The auto-configuration process identified a speaker I hadn't wired properly. This was a very nice help to the setup process, I would recommend this receiver just the that reason alone.

Very pleased with this Denon. This is my first experience with this brand. Set up was a little tricky only because I’m impatient. Very good sound, but I would like more bass punch. Also, there are no tone controls or at least I can’t find any. The automated speaker set up worked well but I like to tweak things myself. Overall, this was worth the purchase.

The receiver was of great quality and the delivery was great. Operation is not the easiest but that is not the fault of the receiver but more of my lack of knowledge of how to properly connect it to all of my equipment and getting it to all work as one. It's a very good product and an excellent brand.

Might work if you have a crap sound system. I bought this as an upgrade to my twelve-year-old 5.1 80 watt receiver. A 7.2 channel with all the bells and whistles, including automatic audio set up. But my self powered subwoofer would not work. After fighting with it for hours I finally got ahold of Accessories4Less Tech Support. After 2 calls and almost an hour with Tech Support, I got the subwoofer working but then my main speakers would not work. Their Tech Support said that "I got what I paid for and should not have bought a cheap receiver." After several lengthy emails with Denon Tech Support, I got basically the same response. My speakers were too good for this receiver. I had a choice of main speakers or self powered subwoofer, but not both, and there was nothing wrong with the receiver. Definitely not as advertised. Would not power a 5.1 system, so I doubt it would work with a decent 7.2 surround. And the automatic set up was a joke! Accessories 4 less did accept the return, But kept almost a $100 of my refund for "fees."I will never deal with Accessories4Less or Denon ever again!

I used this receiver for my ATMOS home theater, and it really sounds great. It is paired with some Onkyo front and center speakers, Amazon Basics in-ceiling speakers for mid and rear, and a very powerful sub. It is easy to configure and use.

Delivery was perfect got it 2 days earlier. Installation was user friendly and sound really good. And also I got it for a good price.

I purchased it to replace my old one. Sound quality is great(at least for me), but the initial setup is not very intuitive. However, the support was great. They guided me through to answer all my questions. Well, let's face it, I was not asking something very obvious, but support is great.Would I buy it based on my current experience - YES.I hope I would not have any surprises with the reliability later on :-)

Bought 1 week ago and was impressed by functionalities and sound quality. Great apps. Easy to install and configure

I really like that this receiver has support for Airplay 2 and HomeKit since I can now use my AppleTV to control it and beam audio from my phone to it. It also can index music files from my NAS and play them back, which is great!
