They don't work in my Bose player. They get stuck.
I loved hearing the Russian monastery singing on Pandora so I ordered this CD and the Russian Divine Liturgy tape, too, and they both got stuck in my Bose player. Don't buy these. There is no way to get a refund especially since the Vespers take came from Germany. I had to take my player to a professional who had to take my player apart to get the tapes out. It was not cheap. I am sad they don't work. Yes, I tried them in other CD players and they always got stuck but those were easier to take apart than my Bose.

Wonderful Russian liturgical music!
Accolades to the Novospassky Monastery Choir who are featured on this CD. The first track is of beautiful Russian Church bells ringing, leading appropriately to the rest of the tracks. I am always and ever in awe of the a capella capabilities of Russian Church choirs. They are incredible in their harmony and accuracy with wide ranges of styles from slow to fast. This is a treat to the listening ear.

Good But Not The Favorite Russian CD In My Collection!
Compared to Ancient Echoes & Basso Profondo From Old Russia (both of which I rated 5 stars), this one was decent but not one I would want to listen to over and over non-stop.

Five Stars
Love this as I listen often while I'm at work and before I go to sleep. Very relaxing.

It was a dud.
A disappointment. It did not really sound like Russian chant. The tunes were not very interesting and the harmony was lacking in the distinctive Russian bass sound.

Simply sublime.
This 1993 Moscow recording is still technically superb.Beautiful, powerful voices.

Not bad
This is exactly what it says on the label - Russian chant for vespers. However, I found it a little disappoining conpared to the "Rssian Divine Liturgy" recoeding from the same choir.

Wonderful early church music
Superb is the word for this CD. Beautiful sung with all the passion, spirituality and intensity sadly lacking in modern 21st century. This music stands on its own as well worth listening to and highly recommended for the music collection. A must have.
