Diamond Select Toys DC Movie Classics: Batman & Catwoman Vinimate Vinyl Figures 2 Pack

Batman Returns is, to this day, not just my favorite Batman movie but my favorite movie of all time. To me it embodies all the elements which make up a perfect film – action, drama, humor, frights, romance, and much more. I also think it’s a great psychological study. Even as a 10-year-old boy back in 1992 I was fascinated by the concept of dual identities and split personalities, and was very intrigued by the thin line which separates genius from insanity (for both heroes and villains alike). As an adult I admit I still nerd out over collecting Batman Returns merchandise and memorabilia, and even run an online fan page because I’m just that awesome :PBut anyway. Truth be told that in spite of my undying fanaticism, I’m not always a fan of the more “cutesy” style toys. However, these Vinimates figures are better than expected. First, they are bigger than I realized, measuring about four inches tall instead of what I initially assumed to be a size more on-par with a Lego figure. Believe it or not there is also a fair likeness to Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer who played Batman and Catwoman in the film. They’re a nice weight, seem durable enough, and stand up on their own. While I don’t have any actual complaints, it is worth noting that these figures are completely non-posable, and that Batman has no arms under his cape. Not a big deal since you wouldn’t be able to move them anyway, but kind of a weird surprise nevertheless. Overall a fun and somewhat quirky addition to my collection.

These figures are really unique and definitely have a likeness to Micheal Keaton and Michelle pfeirffer, they are quite bigger than I expected and seem to be quite durable. Overall I’m really happy with theses and plan on adding more to my collection.
