Mine did not have wall adapter, only USB cable, works fine off USB so far.

Are those coaxial input interface input compatible to stereo?

These digital inputs are bitstreams. The bitstream can be decoded to multiple channels with augmentation - For example, Dolby. In this case your converting a digital bitstream to analog stereo. Rock On... J H

Can i use the usb input to playback music, then output using the optical connector to my powered speakers?

The optical connector is for incoming signals only. The only signal outputs are the headphone jack and the RCA terminals, converted to analog by the unit's internal DAC. If your powered speakers have RCA inputs, that would work. You would not be using the DAC in your powered speakers, if they are so equipped.
