Amazing
This pet-related item is a great choice for any pet owner. It's durable and easy to clean, making it a good option for daily use. The design is stylish and functional, with a variety of features that make it easy to use and maintain. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey, but it's worth the investment if you're looking for a high-quality item that will last for years to come. Overall, it's a great choice for any pet owner looking for a reliable and stylish pet accessory.

TRUST IN THIS HOT SPOT PASTE - FANTASTIC
My Golden Retriever tends to get hot spots and they get really bad. I tried this paste after using several ‘hot spot’ sprays. Wow, what a miraculous result. It dried almost immediately and it completely stopped all the discomfort and itching. It finally got him out of the cone! I can see where a few dog owners are thrown by this product. It looks like a wet cement in the container and doesn’t look like a cream. It dries like cement, sort of, as it can be cleaned off. With the instantaneous RELIEF it provides, it’s a THUMBS UP for me and my dog. Just trust in the product - it works.

Will work if you can keep them from licking it off!
Ideally, this does work well if you can keep your dog from licking their belly, which is where I keep putting it.Thank goodness it's non toxic! It does give some relief to the itching , so if you can put it all over the body , that's great!

Outstanding company policies
A little backstory on this product. I first ordered it on May 4 through Amazon. It experienced some delays… And by the 14th it still had not shown up so I asked for a refund… Coat defense was absolutely phenomenal and their Customer Service was spot on! They didn't ask any questions. They just said that they would be willing to send me a refund… Funny thing is the very next day my product arrived! I of course contacted them back and let them know it arrived, and I would be glad to pay for it… In which they replied that they had no way to get payment from me at this point… most companies would've found a way! I do love this product. It has helped my dog out tremendously. I have not used this particular one yet, but I have used the powder and the shampoo. Excellent products! Thank you so much to coat defense for making this a very easy refund process! And thank you for making an excellent product that helps lots of pets! Have a wonderful day!

does not work as well as I hoped.
It did relieve the itch and redness but it is a thick paste and as soon as the dogs lay down on their beds or floor the paste comes off I also had to use a donut on one of my dogs until the paste had a chance to soak in because he would turn his head, find the sore with coat defense on it and lick it off. also, for the money it was a tiny jar. Mine is nearly gone already.

Cat wound healed quickly
My cat is an overgroomer. I think she's just nervous nelly. I've taken her to the vet for this before and just got a huge bill and a temp solution. They prescribed pills and ointment. Have you ever tried giving your cat a pill? Not fun. What truly helps her is keeping her from over grooming herself while her overgroomed area heals but keeping her in a onesie or cone 24/7 is just not feasible. I know she doesn't have fleas or anything like that. She just will lick and lick until the hair is gone and the skin is red and sore and weepy. I decided to try this stuff out. I bought a bunch of over the counter things actually before getting this. I bought a hydrocortisone for cats in hopes that the itchiness would stop and she'd stop licking but it really didn't help. I got an antiseptic wash in hopes of cleaning it and keeping it clean would stop her from licking but it didn't. I got her probiotics and fish oil in hopes that I could address her issue internally but again that made zero difference. Finally, I got her a soft cone and this jar of coat defense. It has been about 4 days. The overgrooming wound is drying up, the hair is as starting to grow back, and she can't reach it to lick it. I'm impressed by this product. Definitely recommend it.

Unsatisfactory Results
I ordered this product after reading positive reviews. My Boston Terrier has issues with contact dermatitis and after reading the reviews I was hoping for favorable results. After only 3 days of using this product, the areas of concern were angry red! I immediately discontinued using this product. I would not recommend it to anyone. I wish I did not have to give it even a single star but had to in order to post my comments.
