This is the absolute best home security camera system money can buy. I can’t tell you how many home security cameras I have bought and tossed. I actually bought the system (Arlo Pro 2) from a buddy when he upgraded to the Pro. And purchased this camera to add to the system for a total of three cameras. The system is so easy to set up. So easy to add a camera too. So reliable to use. The App is fantastic. And the rechargeable batteries last me 4-6 weeks before they need recharging. Charging is quick. Highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a robust, easy to use, very good home security system. And if you want to spring the extra bucks and go Pro you get even more definition, wider field if view and a “follow” feature allowing the camera to track someone as they move through the room.The camera comes with a cool magnetic mount that is easily fixed to the wall (per the photo I posted). I also posted a view of each camera live from the App. FYI camera view either live or recorded gives you both video and sound. Within the App you can arm them and it will take video on any movement The videos can be accessed and viewed for a week without paying for a plan. And you can set the system to alert you to movement.

I have dropped one of these bad boys on my tile floor from just above counter top height, while removing from charge cable. It cracked the little thin plastic bezel around the front of the camera, near the IR lights on the top, but it did no other damage and the camera works like a champ, still. This was an outdoor camera that i then traded places with for and indoor position since it is now not weather proof.

We have 10 of these at our house and at our Guest Ranch to monitor parking spaces, the front & back door and gate at our homes.Camera works like a charm and is super easy to use, change batteries. Definitely issues with the batteries and finding a quality Arlo charger is also an issue. The Arlo App is great and provides access to the camera and settings with ease (not quick, but with ease). Would be nice if you could use this to answer your door and talk to people at the door.What ends up happening is you have to see them coming in order to get the notification and or have enough time to log into the app and camera to be able to talk to someone. If you wait till they show up, they'll walk away by the time you're ready to speak to them through the camera. Cool when you can make it work and time it right.One thing I DO NOT LIKE is the fact that the case and lip/edge around the camera is WHITE. You have to get a silicon cover to cover it up but then with the white (which wasn't an issue with the 1st Arlo Camera) it gives you a WHITE RING around the black camera. So hiding it can be difficult. We've tried painting the edges black, but that has proven challenging. They should offer up color choice. If I'm trying to hide this camera in the tree, a WHITE RIM AROUND A BLACK FACE, does not make that easy....... Go back to the BLACK RIM around the BLACK CAMERA like the original Arlo Pro. We were able to hide that one much easier. This one is extremely obvious and easy to pick out where you put it.....

The Arlo Pro2 product is vastly better than the original Arlo. Cameras are fast, have sound and speakers and if plugged in can have specific zones for motion sensitivity. Picture quality is astounding. The set-up is very easy. New battery packs (no longer CR123) lasts a very long time.

I spent a lot of time researching home security cameras, and Arlo was the best value. I tried the new Blink XT2 cameras, but the sound quality was not great (lots of feedback/static). I didn't purchase Ring because it requires a paid subscription to keep any recordings, same thing with Nest. I finally came to Arlo and I am so happy with it. Without a subscription you get free 7 day cloud storage (with the option to download and save recordings), the ability to schedule the on/off times, quality (maybe not the best but very good) video (including night vision) and 2 way audio, the ability to activate a siren from your phone (LOVE this); and you can add additional cameras, security lights, video doorbell, etc. I truly feel Arlo has the most to offer at a reasonable price without a subscription.

I’ve unfortunately had this system for a few years now. There is so much lag time with the camera notifications. That defeats the whole purpose of having a security system. Alexa notifies you, you open the app, there’s significant lapse before you see the video in the library an intruder would be in your home robbing, raping or murdering you.Support is useless. What a waste of $1000 for it. Don’t buy Arlo!!! Huge disappointment

Was a little apprehensive in the beginning , but I was really surprised how the Arlo Pro worked. If there is something better out there, I'd like to see it. Everything it was suppose to do it did, from motion detection to the alerts. Great product.

Delivery was a little slower than I expect from Amazon store front. The batteries fit and operate as expected but only last less than 10 days on full charge. My 7 year old batteries normally last over two months.
