Light, pretty, functional. Descriptive review w/pics
My purpose for this bag: Day to Day carry. I don't do much in traveling, but I do like to have a secure, sturdy, well made bag to rely on. This is my second Baggallini, the other being a slim tall cross body purse that is better suited for very minimalist outings. I don't care for it as much for day to day use. Separate review for that.COLOR: Papaya is a gorgeous orange color. It is as gorgeous as I was hoping for. Interior is a very pretty, contrasting but complimentary fushia/hot pink.SIZE: Medium sized. Dimensions as I measure it are different that what is specified in the description (there are two product descriptions, the top portion description is more accurate than lower page description). Take note that I am measuring from specific points on the bag, with stuff in it, making the measurements more relevant for anyone trying to figure out how much space it will take up.My measurements:From bottom as it sits on a table measured to CENTER (lowest point of bag) of closed main zipper the height is 9".The highest point which is just where the zipper ends on each side, and strap begins is roughly 11.5".Width is 11 inches. A little more if you use side pockets, but not by much.Packed with all that I carry, its sitting depth is roughly 5.5".Hope that helps!Pretty good for a day to day carry. I don't want to carry a lot, but I do want to have a few items on me. Main interior is roomy enough to fit my packed wallet (Belfen wristlet wallet 8.1"(W) x 4.3"(H) x 0.8"(D) inches) and a medium sized makeup bag (9"W, 7" H, 3" D) that I use to keep an assortment of items (small first aid kit, travel toothbrush, travel size toothpaste, small container of tooth floss, snack bar, pen, tiny notepad, and a feminine pad). Between the wallet and make up bag, that takes up the majority of the space. There is still room on top of those items, or I could stretch the bag a bit if I want to slip in a book or something else of that size.INTERIOR features and pockets: One large horizontal zipped interior pocked along the back side. Above that zippered area are two elastic loops for either attaching something with a carabiner, or to horizontally slide in a couple of pens or pencils. There are two rows of 4 card slots along the front interior. Those appear shallow, but fit credit cards just fine. I currently have no use for that as I am carrying a wallet. In addition there is a small zipped detachable RFID "wallet" (7"x4") attached inside via a long 14" strap. It is situated a few inches below the opening of the main zipper. If looking at the bag from the front, it would be left side. On the opposite side, situated in same position there is a shorter approximately 6" strap (including hook) for various use. I imagine for keys.EXTERIOR features: front has one center large horizontal zipper pocket (I currently have my Kindle paperwhite with cover in there, with room to spare), then two more pockets divided evenly. One horizontal zippered, one folded snap closure (plus an extra spot behind it with snap closure). In the smaller zipper portion I have a folded pocket knife, and a couple of chargers for phone, tablet, and Kindle. In the snap pocket I keep travel tissue, lip gloss, and travel hand cream. There is a space behind the folded snap closure that is another open pocket with single snap closure. It took me reviewing this and taking pictures to discover it. I haven't anything in there yet. Either compartment can hold a little more than what I described, but not much. At the rear of bag, there is spot that allows for attaching this bag to the handle of a rolling suitcase. The top portion is an open pcoket snap closure, and the bottom is a horizontal zipper. You unsnap the top and unzip the bottom and it becomes roughly a 6"x 9.5"sleeve. There is likely other creative used for this such as slipping a sweater through or tying a bag off of it. It is a large pocket when the zipper is closed along the bottom. I would find it much more useful and secure if there was a locking mechanism for that bottom zipper. My Kindle fits in there perfectly, but until I figure out a way to secure that zipper, I do not want to chance it or anything else accidentally opening and falling out. I am considering using a safety pin, either attached from the inside so it can't be seen or across the front. It would basically provide a barrier to the zipper opening. This worked when I used a vintage decorative pin, but I took it out as I figured I needed something stronger than an old pin.SIDE pockets: Looking at front of bag, the side pocket on left is a slim fairly tight open pocket. It advertises as a cellphone holder. I didn't think it was going to be useful for anything but a pack or gum, but I decided to try slipping my cellphone into it. I have a recently purchased (2017) LG V20 with a smart case. This is a good sized smartphone. The phone and case together measure 6.5" x 3.25" x .5" I was shocked that it slid into this pocket. It's like that pocket and my phone were made for each other. It is a snug fit. The top of the phone and the top of the opening to the pocket is the same height. I can get my fingers in there just enough to pull the phone out. I wouldn't use it if I was planning to take phone in and out multiple times, but then maybe I will. It is a surprisingly good pocket now that I have tried it out. Better if it could close, as a rainy day would not protect your phone. Looking at front of bag, the side pocket on the right is a vertically zipped space that runs about the full height of the bag, 9". Unzipped, there is an elasticized pocket within. This could hold a slim water bottle. I could just barely fit in a 16 ounce bottled water in there. Tight fit. Unfortunately takes up some of the space of the bag itself. It should have been designed to stretch out further to allow for the water bottle to sit bulge out from the bag and not into it.STRAP: Adjustable, secure strap. Make it as short as a longer shoulder bag, or as long as needed for comfort as a cross body bag. I am 5'10, and plus sized, and this strap at max length very comfortably accommodates my body. The strap width is comfortable at 1.25". The top of the bag rests against my hips, and the lower portion of the bag rests against my upper thigh. This allows me to easily get into my bag about where my hands naturally fall. Adjust according to your frame size.CONSTRUCTION and MATERIALS:Made in Cambodia.Outer is 100% Nylon. From my other Baggallini it is sure to be a sturdy, tear resistant, water resistant, hand washable bag.Interior material is 100% Polyester.Zipper and stitching appears secure. Attractive.FINAL THOUGHTS: Since this is a travel bag, I would like to see a little more security go into the construction of the bag such as cut resistant strap, locking zippers (or tuck away zippers, anything to deter people looking to pick pocket), especially the zipper that is part of the "sleeve" mentioned above, and perhaps an outer loop or two to allow for personal customization. It's these last two points that I have taken one star away from the rating. A couple of simple adjustments and it would be a great bag. Some bags and purses automatically have enough space between strap and hardware to accommodate a carabiner d-ring. Many people have these on their key chains. When not traveling but just running errands, I like to hook my keys to the outer portion of the bag so I don't have to search for them inside the bag. The strap on this bag is too wide to quickly hook my keys on. There is a strap with hook latch on the inside, but that will take precious space away from the interior. I did figure out a way to make that strap useful to the outside by feeding it through the main zipper and out the side where there is an opening. But it isn't ideal. I took a picture of having done this. Also, why is there such a gap at either end of the main zipped portion?Overall I like the bag. Full price is a bit steep for this bag, and I happened to get this one for half of that either due to being an unpopular or discontinued color. Then I come back today and it is even cheaper. *sigh*. Anyway, price didn't go into my review as I made the choice to buy it at that price, however I can reflect on price versus quality.

Best low cost organizing purse
What I love about this purse is that the main zippered opening is large enough for my tablet. There is a zippered opening in the front where I put pens, a small pad, lipstick, and other small items. Two additional pockets hold bandaids, individual packets of medications (traveling nurse), inhaler. THe back packet has a zipper at the Bolton so I can slip it over the suitcase handle. An A+ product. I have a black one, and a red one.

THANK YOU, BAGGALLINI!! Another AWESOME medium-sized bag!!
I have been a big fan of Baggallini for years. I love that they put so much effort into designing amazing bags for REAL life use. The number one reason I buy a bag is function not just be an over-priced accessory. I, also, do want a durable, lovely bag as I am one to use it continuously until it has to be recycled. Baggallini is one of a very few brands that I will buy because they have such a great reputation and have not started cutting corners on quality and design to increase profit margin. This bag is no exception! It is a medium-sized bag that you can put a Kindle or other similarly-sized item in without any issue. It has plenty of space in the large zippered middle compartment that provides slots for credit cards, as well as, a smaller zippered compartment within this main section.A small RFID zippered bag is included for credit cards that can be clipped to a sturdy cord with clasp inside this main compartment. One suggestion I have is that the whole main compartment be RFID since the credit card slots are in that part. The small zippered bag that is included does not have card slots so all has be left together in one jumble if you want the RFID protection. Both the main compartment and the small zippered bag are lined with bright fuchsia and not only is it a nice surprising bit of happiness when you unzip bag every time, it allows light in and makes it easy to find items. I keep an 8β zippered RFID wallet as well as a coupon/receipt file of similar size in this section in addition to the small zippered bag that was included with purchase. I still have lots of room for other items if needed i.e. paperback book, glasses case. The back compartment has a magnetic snap at top to keep large flat items in place but also has a zippered bottom! This is a fantastic feature for traveling as the bag can then slip over the pull handle on luggage and allows for easy, contained movement through airport and elsewhere. I have also used to keep track of sweaters and jackets better by folding them through space for more secured no-hands transport. I do wish that this zipper had a locking clasp so when not in use, it can be secured in place. The zipper does occasionally work its way open with daily use of the bag and the contents of pocket can drop out of bottom. There is a roomy fuchsia-lined cellphone pocket in front with snap closure that holds my phone in wallet-style case(my phone dimensions 5 7/8" x 3 1/8" x 5/8") and can still snap closed. There are still two more zippered and fuchsia-lined compartments on front of bag. One is nice to keep chapstick, bandaids, and WetOnes handy. The other will hold a Kindle, etc. The zippers are all heavy-duty with ergonomically-designed pulls for easy use. It has pocket on each side. The one is just open with no flap and could be used for a cellphone. I have used it to carry a second 16oz water bottle. The other is designed to carry a beverage with elasticized pocket that is easily closed with a vertical zipper when not in use. It could also carry sunglass case securely. The fabric is black background with grey flowers similar to chrysanthemum (or from one child's eye they looked like grey fireworks). The fabric is again sturdy canvas-style yet smooth and supple and not shiny. I have used this bag almost every day since I purchased and it still looks brand new. It is not showing any wear--not even the bottom. I have wiped off coffee spills and slushy grit with no visible stains. The shoulder strap is wide (1 ΒΌβ), smooth and still shows no wear at all at heavy duty metal connectors after all of this time. It has no pilling anywhere on bag not even the strap. I usually wear over my shoulder but occasionally when travelling or walking long distances I use as a cross-body bag. The one suggestion I would have for the strap is to add some type of fabric around top to keep bag from slipping off the shoulder. When I bought the bag, it was modeled as cross-body so I can see why Baggallini did not add. For me, I like a smaller bag for everyday cross-body use. However, I love this bag and carrying my everyday essentials plus the ability to carry a little more comfortably when travelling makes me totally happy using as shoulder bag daily.

Great travel purse
What I do not care for in the purse is all of slots in the inside lining for your credit cards. Does anyone really do that with their credit cards, license, medical cards, etc? To me it seems like a very unsafe way to keep these cards. I would have rather had large pockets there instead. Otherwise it is an excellent purse for travel. The removable pouch was just the right size for 2 passports as well as our vaccine records. I love the green shade of the purse and the fact that it can be washed.

Perfect size!
I β€οΈ this pattern! Bought similar one that's a bit smaller. Was too small and drove me crazy. Decided to try the single center open, it's a perfect size! I can fit my larger rfid wallet inside and still have plenty of room for other stuff. I'm extremely pleased with this one! Nice amount of pockets too. It feels much stronger than my first baggalini that I purchased years ago. Believe this could easily lat 6 years plus of everyday use and still look as good as it does today! Grey and black flower print.

Great bags
I now have 5 Baggallini bags, all different colours, and although I primarily use them for when Iβm travelling because they are light and have plenty of pockets/compartments to put items in; I also bought one for daily use after I had an operation so my handbag was not so heavy. Iβve been very pleased with every one & would thoroughly recommend.

Without any doubt, my very favourite purse ever!!
I did a lot of research, asked questions and read every review and finally took a chance and ordered this bag in portobello colour. This is the first review I've ever written with such enthusiasm. It is the perfect size, the colour is exactly what I wanted and is exactly what is pictured and the measurements were accurate too. I love the smaller attachable zippered extra bag for makeup or whatever. The purse is light as a feather, hangs lovely as a crossbody, shoulder or hand bag. The side zipper fits and securely holds my stubby (333 ml) water bottle almost out of sight. The zipper on the back opens so you can securely slide it onto a luggage handle and closes for an extra large open pocket which holds my iPad with 1/2" showing at the top. I read that this pocket zipper opens too easily but if that's a problem you can just run a thread over it to make sure it's secure. I love the credit card slots (10), easy access, very handy. The inside bottom either lies flat or expands to hold even a big sweater. Definitely not oversized and yet my iPad has plenty of room. My iPhone 5c fits in either of the front pockets with room to spare. It's such a well made, secure, durable feeling and looking bag that it should last a long time I use the slot side pocket for pens, it's too deep and narrow for much else. I paid full price for this purse so this review is completely unbiased. It's worth every cent and I couldn't be more pleased! Never had a bag I liked more and as far as I can see, it's the only bag I'll order in the future.

Lightweight and stylish
Love this bag!! So many little pockets to keep everything in, but separately so its not all chucked in the bottom! The side pockets for umbrellas and small water bottles are so useful!
