Best Jerk is Aptly Titled
Callie is the owner of Somewhere Special Weddings. As a wedding planner, she has seen it all – from bridezillas to overbearing mothers or in-laws and everything in between. When her best friend Abigail announces her engagement to Carter and fairly quick wedding plans are made, Callie never expects to have any issues planning the nuptials. Enter one moody, broody best man named Grayson. He is doing everything he can think of to sabotage his best friend’s upcoming wedding. Between upsetting the bride and groom-to-be, Grayson has also made it a mission to annoy the wedding planner. Callie may be hot but her condoning this wedding makes her an enemy. Grayson carries some emotional baggage and he may just ruin the relationship between Abigail and Carter and alienate Callie before all is said and done.Best Jerk is a book full of various emotions. Grayson can’t believe his buddy is shacking up with someone he just met and is preparing to take the plunge. Carter and Abigail don’t even really know each other. Part of Grayson’s issues stem from a tragedy in his past and the fact that Carson will be moving to where Abigail is, essentially leaving Grayson behind. When he meets Callie, sparks fly but he denies them right up until he doesn’t and they end up in a situation neither expected. The more time they spend together, the stronger their connection becomes until it just can’t be denied anymore.I will admit, I didn’t really like Grayson all that much – but considering the title of the book is Best Jerk, that’s exactly what the author was aiming for. Grayson comes across as a whiny teenager throughout the majority of the beginning of the book. It’s hard to tolerate an alpha male that grumps around all the time. As he had to be reminded multiple times, this wedding and the relationship between Carter and Abigail is not about him. How he could even think otherwise blew my mind. Some of the dialogue in the book wasn’t very strong or written conversationally. What was said between characters seemed somewhat forced and unnatural. This made it hard for me to remain engaged in the book, at times. I didn’t stay away for long, however, because I needed to know if the emotional baggage Grayson carried got resolved. I needed to see if Grayson succeeded in ruining the wedding and relationship between Abigail and Carter. I also needed to see if the author did the chemistry between Callie and Grayson justice.A fun story with steamy moments, I enjoyed Best Jerk and am glad I stuck with it through the grump phase of the best jerk… um, man – I meant best man.

Great Romance Book

His best man Grayson was there also there and he was a big jerk and very arrogant. Callie knew he was going to be trouble as he kept nixing ideas until she told him it was not his wedding. Grayson and Carter played golf with his father and when Carter stepped away Grayson told Carters father he was not happy about this quick wedding. Abigail and Carter found the perfect venue. Callie confronted Grayson again but it was his turn to talk. When she heard the story she was now getting to know why Grayson wanted to break the couple up. Callie and Grayson spent the night together and the next morning she told him that she had a meeting to attend that she forgot. Grayson and the guys were going to Vegas for the bachelor party. But, Grayson forgot to cancel the strippers and when he tried he couldn’t reach them..Carter goes up to the room with Grayson and he spots the strippers. Carter couldn’t believe he did that to him. Carter refused to talk to Grayson even though Grayson started to apologize. Callie though had a big secret of her own. Carter and Abigail’s wedding was perfect everything she wanted. Awesome Read
OMG! What a jerk!!! Grayson is just one of those characters you have a love/hate relationship with. I hated him at the very beginning. How could you not want your best friend to be happy?!?! Callie was a better person than I would have been. I'd been all up in his face asking him what his problem was. The circumstances around his behavior is heart-wrenching but inexcusable. I ended up loving him in the end. I was glad things worked out for them because they made a great couple. The characters were well-developed and the chemistry/connection between them was explosive. I didn't see the twist coming at the end. I won't give it away but it was surprising! I can't wait to read Lulu's next work...I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy of this book....

Best Jerk by Lulu Pratt.
An enjoyable and amusing read. Loved Grayson with his deep seated emotional roller coaster all buckled up within him, trying to hang on to out-dated values, although to be fair, how many of us have fallen to the same fate in similar circumstances? It took a woman shooting from the hip to blast him into the present where emotions were concerned and get his relationships back level again.Callie, because of her job, was far too nice, which really annoyed me at times. She did give Grayson a piece of her mind - then, things really became interesting.I did wonder how Grayson managed to get two months off from work to help the groom and his best mate out. I was a tad disappointed with the way Grayson presented Callie with the ring.... I am sure his character would have done something much more romantic, not get someone else to hand her the ring! Because of this, I have dropped a star, and have given 4*'s.Its a good read, light hearted, and this author is well worth the 4* and any readers time. I have already downloaded and started to read Claimed which I am really enjoying.

A good read
An enjoyable and entertaining read. This story is about Grayson and Callie. He is a sexy alpha with a troubled past and was a total jerk from the moment they met - I did not like his character at all. We do start to learn more about his life and why he is that he is, but still. I really liked Callie, smart, beautiful, successful, and doesn’t take any crap. She also has a troubled past which traumatized her, she survived but it still haunts her. There are twists, suspense and a well written story line. I definitely recommend this book. I voluntarily received an arc of this book but also purchased a copy as I enjoyed it.
