Does exactly what a pencil flame torch is supposed to do
First of all, a pencil flame torch has a very specific flame size - if you need to have a larger flame, you bought the wrong torch. That being said, this is the perfect size for 1/2" and 3/4" copper pipe soldering.I am replacing a 20 year old torch head - regardless of what you read on the forums, they corrode or can get debris in the feed tube, air inlets, etc. Some models have a screen you can clean, but I opted to buy a replacement.The torch is perfect. The flame is really nice and consistent.

Inconsistent torch control. Must constantly adjust to flow control for use. Would not recommend….Update- the company reached out to me and replaced the torch. This one works as expected. Great customer service. Would recommend and will use again.

strange item (mapp torch) to be vague with usage and content description
ok..wtf...i bought this "bluefire" mapp gas replacement..in a yellow cylinder...first thing that pops out at me during unboxing is the torch head packaging that states that this torch wads meant for PROPANE..and this is clearly not a blue tank,and nclearly not propane..,also it does not say exactly WHAT bluefire IS...and this was a "KIT" purchase..like the torch and cylinder of gas together..yet the "KIT" was two SEPERATE PACKAGES in one box..and like in said..labeled"strictly for propane"..what it DOES NOT say IS:"..CAN BE USED FOR BLUEFIRE GAS"..it SHOULD say..." Super secret ingredients..take your chances and we will take your money SUCKA'...PEACE (MIC DROP)..WISH ME LUCK...

Works Exactly How It Should
Valve works as it should. No issues, no leaks. Recommend if you have smaller types tasks around the house. I original purchased this for a stuck bolt on my frame and this did the job and allowed me to safely remove it without stripping/breaking the bolt!!

Not good
I should have listened to the other reviews!!!You cannot control the flame whatsoever, it is full blast 100 percent of the time, the dial has no control at all and as others stated, if you turn the propane tank anything other than upright, the flame will go out. Also, the flame sucks, it is very disappointing to say the least. I should have returned it but just didn't have the energy to send back.All the bragging about it being a better torch tip etc. Is just plain garbage because it is not. The tip sucks big time and also wastes fuel.
