Nintendo DSi - 18 In 1 Starter Kit

We inherited a DSi, and only the unit, it had nothing with it. This kit got us set up perfectly. It includes:- 2 styluses - great for when the first one is worn out.- 2 screen protectors - One set of them, one for each screen. They are both the same size and you will need to trim one of them to fit the bottom screen. NOTE: The item listing says there are 2 sets, we only received one, but not a big deal for us.- USB/Card reader - have not used yet- 3 game cartridge cases - game fit perfectly- headphone splitter - two people can listen in- ear bud headphones - I threw these away. They were much to big for a child's ears, no padding and just cheap. I prefer my child to have over the ear headphones.- Car charger - have yet to use, but it will be handy- mounting charger - easy to use, clean design, lights up when charging (note: a power cord does not come with this)- accessory pouch - It's pretty flimsy material, and won't last long, but it's a good start to hold all the extras- wrist straps - There is one for the DS itself and one for the carrying case. Easy install- Carry case - It fit the DSi perfectly, nice and snug, and will take form to the shape of the DSi soon enough. I like that it does not simply go in and then bounce around. It is secure.This was a perfect way to get us started and setup for an affordable price, I went to the local WM and picked up a power cord for the DSi unit itself and it works like a dream with the mount.

This is an awesome starter kit for your DSi.Charging Dock: Works great. But unplug it when you go to sleep.Audio Splitter: Works for all earphones, but when you plug in any Apple earphones it doesn't work.Screen Protectors: I really don't like using these, because when you put them on and turn on the DSi, it looks really dirty.Screen Cleaners: I don't know what on Earth these really do, so I keep them in the Carry All Sack.Carry All Sack: Good to throw extra things in here.Stylus: Official DSi stylus.Wrist Strap: Good so I can keep my DSi on me.Video Game Cases: Good, but hard to put games in the case.USB Card Reader: This will come in handy when I get my Memory Card.Car Adapter: Awesome because I can charge my DSi in the car.

When I got my DSi, this was the only kit available from Amazon.com. I have to say, for the price I paid I am very disapointed. The main items in the kit are the zippered case, headphones, charger dock, and car charger. To bring the numbers up, they throw in a bunch of junk like: drawstring bag, 2 styli, screen protectors, 4 "cleaners", headphone adapter (for dual headphones), wrist strap, came cases, second wrist strap with clip.What I really wanted was the zippered case and the car charger. The case is OK, but nothing great. There are no straps to hold your DSi in - so if it comes open accidently your DSi will fall out. There are also no pockets of any kind for holding games in the case.The car charger is OK too, but I was disapointed that it wasn't a USB charger and a USB car adapter - not that the ad said it was, just that i would prefer that.The screen wipes, or whatever they are called - just plain dumb and used to raise the numbers for the kit. Totally useless and cheap crap. Why would you ever need more than 1 anyway?2 Styli - again, why?Screen protectors - not really needed, but lots of people love to use these things. I guess some folks will get use out of them. I didn't.Wrist strap for DSi - I actuallylike this item. It makes me feel safer knowing if I drop my DSi (with the strap on my wrist) I will find it dangling and not on the ground in peices.Game cases - seem decent, but I like to keep my current games in one of those hard wallets that holds 6 games.Drawstring bag - useful for putting all the extra junk in and tossing a box.USB SD card reader - I suppose this could be handy for most people, but I use SD+USB from Sandisk, so not needed.Charging Dock - you have to use your own DSi charger for this to work or use the car charger. Seems to be of good construction, but I have not used it yet. it will be worthless once i get a skin case.I hope others looking at this will find the info useful. [....]

First of all, I'll list pros and cons.PROS:Case is absolutely dropproof, and my DSI fits snug.Charging dock is cool and works great.The little baggie is nice for storing all the extras.Nice little game holders, I have a baby dog that chews on everything.Car charger is perfect.I like the fact that you two people can listen to one device with the headphone thing.USB is pretty cool, but I have loads.Screen protectors are AMAZING, as I'm a 10 year old with Adhd, it'd have loads of scratches otherwise.Styli are nice. Along with the Adhd thing, I loose things very often.CONS:What's the point of the charging dock?Too many keychains and things like that.The bag had a big hole in it. Wow.Earphones are very cheaply made.Again, too many USB's!I have over 500 styli.Thanks for reading, hope that helps. I'm happy with my purchase.

This kit was just what I needed for my new DSi.It has just about everything for a nice price.My only complaint would be about it's durability.There is this amazing SD card USB port that comes with it and when it fell... it broke in half.I snapped it together, seeing as nothing was damaged that I could see except that it opened up, but ...no... it was a goner.All I did was drop it.Despite that one incident, this is a really great product.It has been a year and everything else in the kit is going strong.

Was for my nephew and he liked it. My sister was pleased with it as well since it kept everything organized.
