Ordered this Rheem Tankless Natural Gas water heater. Installed it myself. Did research on requirements and necessary parts to make sure the heater works correctly. Had to upsize my gas line from the meter to the T-off of the heater for proper gas BTU calculation. Other than that, typical installation instructions were followed. Also installed a bypass recirculating valve, works as advertised. Been great so far 👍

I had it professionally installed because since this is a natural gas unit. The default setting for the water heater is 120 deg Fahrenheit. I had the plumbers set it for 130 deg Fahrenheit. The water comes out very hot. I also had the plumbers install a device to make the hot water recirculating. So, now I don't have to run the water as long, like the old unit, to get hot water. The plumber didn't have to do much to install other than take the old one off and replace it with the new one. The only thing I was disappointed with is the fact you have to purchase a wifi part to connect the unit to your smart home. Otherwise, I am very happy with this unit.

Installed for about 2 weeks, replacing and older undersized unit. We don't have a dedicated recirculation line in our 110 year old house but we added the cold water bypass valve and it works amazingly well. Instant hot water all the time and no more cold-water sandwiches. It even seems to help with low-flow shut-off issues we had previously. Hopefully the additional gas usage will offset water wasted waiting on hot water, Ill update in a few months.

My experience with the Rheem tankless water heater has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment it was installed, it has been nothing but trouble. Despite assurances of efficiency and reliability, this appliance has failed to deliver on every front, leaving me boiling with frustration instead of enjoying a simple hot shower.First and foremost, the unit has not worked since installation. It's been four agonizing weeks of boiling water on the stove just to manage basic tasks like washing dishes or taking a shower. Plumbers have made four futile attempts to rectify the situation, each time spending hours on the phone with Rheem's technical support.The level of incompetence and inconsistency in Rheem's support system is mind-boggling. Every time a different part is deemed necessary to fix the problem, yet none of them have succeeded. Promises of expedited shipping for these allegedly crucial parts turned out to be empty, as they arrived via standard ground shipping, prolonging our misery.The sheer amount of time wasted on the phone waiting for customer service, tech support, parts, and shipping is unacceptable. It's as if Rheem is more interested in giving customers the runaround than actually solving their issues.This experience has left me deeply disillusioned with Rheem as a brand. Their inability to address or fix the issues with their product speaks volumes about their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This never came with any instructions to install or what’s needed to install . Why would anyone sell a product with no installation instructions? I see it came with a little fuse where a manual should be ! Guess I should of ordered one from Menards cause they come with everything almost including the valves ..

Must download the owners manual online to set the water recirculation. Installation was straight forward with proper shutoff valves. Exhaust installation was simple using 3"x2" PVC or ABS reducing hub.

First of all the seller never mentioned anything the heater loses 4% for every 1000 feet. this is false advertising. It has not worked properly since day 1. I called technical support and they gave me the wrong gas size settings since this piece is supposed to be efficient. I called technical support again and they want me to pay for an installer. First there is no hot water. Second, the hot water comes in pulses, then after two month, the hot water comes 5 seconds every 30 seconds, then after four month, the hot water comes 5 seconds every one minute. I called technical support again and they send me a new circuit board. I replaced the circuit board and reset all parameters, yet still no hot water. This is a piece of crab. If Rheem or the reseller do not change the whole unit for me, I will file a lawsuit very soon. Do not ever think about buying it. This is false advertised and does not work as advetised.

This product did not come with owners manual. Installation by contractor difficult without instructions. Cannot operate without instructions
