When they arrived, they had a very odd smell to them so I put them out in the garage and hoped that using them in a pool would eventually freshen them up.My son has used them a few times since then, and he just loves them. In fact, he loves them so much that wants to buy a few extra pairs to keep on hand for his friends and cousins to use when they come visit. He says they're comfortable and help him swim really fast. I've noticed that he seems to zip through the water much faster so I guess he's right about that.He wears a size 1 shoe, and the fit seems just fine. They don't fall off easily, and they don't seem to rub or hurt when he's wearing them. They also seem easy to put on/take off. So far anyway, he hasn't asked for my help donning the fins. The smell hasn't completely dissipated, but it's getting fainter and definitely more tolerable. They're staying in the garage regardless so it doesn't really matter anymore.All in all, these are good sturdy fins at a great price.
