Hanks did a wonderful job in this film expressing Sullivan's story, which is based on a genuine account of the events. On January 15, 2009, Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger attempts an emergency landing in New York's Hudson River after US Airways Flight 1549 collides with a flock of geese.After miraculously surviving the traumatic situation with 155 passengers and crew members, Sullenberger has been hailed as a national hero by the public and the media. Despite his achievements, the renowned pilot is being investigated, which could jeopardize his career and reputation.The cast of the film is all-star. Despite knowing how the narrative ends because it is based on actual events that made headlines, I was intrigued enough to see it. I had no idea how a simple occurrence could be transformed into a feature-length film, but the filmmaker did an outstanding job.This is a well-constructed, occasionally exhilarating old-fashioned story of courage in the face of modern skepticism.  Hanks delivers a grounded portrayal of service of a man whose bravery took flight at the right time.

I've watched this several times over the years and each time the tears fall (happy tears). To see how Captain Sullenberger and Co-Pilot Jeffrey Skiles saved 155 lives that January day was beyond amazing. Everyone involved with the rescue were heroes, too. Can't imagine anyone other than Tom Hanks playing Sully. As usual, he was great.

So the movie itself is a good watch. If you like a nice retelling of the plane crash.My only complaint is that the movie code in the box expired 2017. I tend to give the hard copy to a family member that has no internet and have the movie in my digital collection. So that was my big complaint.I got the movie for a pretty good deal and shipping was good. So I will overlook that, but if you want a digital copy... just beware.

It was good to know the details of this event and what the Captain and crew went through to safely land the plane in the Hudson. I also admired the way New Yorkers always pull together as one big team to help others in disasters and tragedy. I'm proud to be an American and live amongst great and kind people.

In 2009 Captain Sully Sullenberger played by Tom Hanks landed his jet into the Hudson River saving everyone on board. Sully includes that but it’s really about the investigation afterward when the government question his decision making. It’s a story about a man who used to be full of confidence as a pilot doubting himself and being under increasing pressure. You could really feel what Hank’s character was going through and that’s the main draw of the film. You just have a huge amount of empathy for him.

Tom Hanks was the perfect actor for this role.The next time you hear people complain about New Yorkers, think of this movie. New York's finest were there for this and 9/11.

Tom Hanks did Captain Sullenberger justice in his portrayal, showing the cool, calm, yet thoughtful nature of the pilot not just in his handling of the plane as it did its emergency water landing, but also in concern for every soul on board.

Movie came sealed just like buying from the shops here.Sully is good movie showing how things are even being a hero and saving those lives the story shows you the true story about just what happened after it. And Tom is amazing as always.

What an amazing crew this was to land on water, and save all on board.

Der Vorfall, in dem es bei dem Film geht, wird nicht chronologisch erzählt. Der Fokus liegt auf der Untersuchung und den damit verbundenen Rückblenden. Spannend gemacht, wenn man bedenkt, dass der Vorfall für alle glücklich ausgegangen ist.

Super film... je suis un fana des histoires d'aviation, et la Clint Eastwood a fait un chef d'oeuvre... BRAVO, je recommande

Très bien réalisé. Hormis petit détail.Le NTSB n'était pas autant à charge contre les pilotes, comme décrit dans le film.C'est ce qu'à regtetté Sully.
