So comfortable.
Super comfortable for punching heavy bag, not overly bulky. Your fingers and thumb are so well cushioned compared to my old gloves. On my old gloves, my fingers felt the impact and sometime my thumb felt jammed when I punched. I have smallish hands and Regular fits perfectly with a little room inside to wiggle around. The elastic wrist band is nice for really tightening around the wrist for great wrist support.UPDATE: Been using these regularly for the past 2.5 years about 2-3 times a week on the heavy bag. They are holding up well. Just the color is scuffed on a few places and the elastic is a little worn from the velcro accidentally getting attached to it, but it still works and still tightens just as before. The stitching is all still good. I haven't used higher end gloves to compare them to but I don't find anything to complain about these after all this time and regular use and feel they are really good if you are just getting into boxing. My knuckles and wrist and thumb feel like they are encased in rubber when I punch the bag and feel no pain at all. It makes me wonder what higher end gloves feel like but not sure if I will miss the protection that these have given me.

Fit small, very small.
Just because they say large doesn't meant they are large. I have had these now for 2 months. They were stiffer than usual in the beginning but they are breaking in well.I am 5'9" and 145 lbs and these gloves fit very right, even after 2 months. They fit very small on the hand. I would say they are about a 12 oz glove. Other "large" gloves I've purchased from ringside were much bigger. That being said the other gloves fell apart. These gloves do feel like they will last longer. Besides the fact they were smaller than I thought and fit a little snug they feel good and feel durable like they will last.

Just What I Needed
The Bag Gloves are perfect. A nice woman I spoke to at Ringside recommended the gloves after I asked how I could soften my Ringside heavy bag. Before talking to her, I trained with the old-style bag gloves and the bag felt very hard. I did not want to go through the trouble of taping my hands and wrists before each heavy bag workout. The Ringside bag gloves are perfect. I can hit the heavy bag "full power" without hurting my hands. They are also designed in a way that forces you to hit the bag correctly and effectively. The bag gloves have also allowed me to properly "break-in" the heavy bag by punching it with my fists and gloves as opposed to a baseball bat or some other hard object that could damage the bag. I can feel the difference. Thank you Ringside! DDM

Nice padding
After reading many reviews on various boxing gloves I decided on the Ringside Gel Shock Boxing Gloves. I bought for working out with a heavy bag and the gloves are comfortable and provide a lot of protection to your hands. Easy to put on and off. Spend the extra $20 over a entry pair of gloves and you won't regret.

Too much, and not enough
First, I don’t mind saying that I’m a big fan of Ringside. Almost all of my equipment is from Ringside, and I’ve been beyond pleased with their stuff. That being said, these are my new least favorite gloves. The quality, as far as construction and material is great – as usual – but the design of the glove feels a little off. My intention was to use these to provide a bit of a step down from my heavier gloves once I’ve worn myself out on the heavy bag. I thought that the additional padding and little less weight would let me squeeze a few more rounds out of the workout. Unfortunately, the additional padding – unlike on the other IMF Tech gloves I have from Ringside – is bulky and awkward. So much so that it creates a rounded striking surface which I found dangerous for my wrists. As for the lighter weight, they are lighter – about 14oz on the large, I think – but they are also super tight. These gloves, in my opinion, do not fit the typical Ringside dimensions.I can see how these gloves might be suitable for someone who has had a hand injury or is just starting out and absolutely needs the lighter weight and/or additional padding. However, I would recommend – especially for the price – picking up a pair of Ringside Apex, or Ringside Omega gloves and letting your body adjust to the extra couple of ounces. I believe that they are superior gloves for heavy bag work, and they can be used for sparring, should the need ever arise.

Best quality vs. price glove!
Very nice! Twice as thick padding as my cheapie Everlast starters, and really good elastic wrist strap that you can pull tight. I got the regular size and it fits good for my 3.5" across palm size. Not sure about durability yet, but so far I like them. Very well thought out product. Leather on the punching side, synthetic elsewhere. The thumb is locked to glove, so it's slightly difficult to pull the wrist strap on your second hand, but doable.

Not the best
These gloves run small and just not breaking in. Gloves are lacking in padding. They are flat across the knuckles despite all attempts to break in. Disappointing as I have had Ringside gloves before that were great.

Excellent for bag work and overall training, just don't use them to spar or fight.
After three years of heavy bag work and hitting the pads, I can comfortably say these babies held up VERY well. And I'm honestly surprised how well they've stayed intact. Is there a little bit of fraying and material slowly coming apart at the seams? Sure. But again, after three years of some pretty good training, the damage is more-so cosmetic than anything that would hinder performance. Which is pretty darn good. Why 4 stars instead of 5? I guess it's just personal preference. The top-heavy design up at the knuckles and the tight/snug fit around my hands just doesn't make for what I'd call "ideal" comfort. I have some Cleto Reyes and Everlasts in my closet that feel much better to keep on for extended sessions. But for Ringside to fall short just by a hair in the comfort department is rather impressive. And they do feel fine, just not as good as some other gloves I have.I do recommend veering away from sparring with these gloves. They don't have sufficient padding for blocking or delivering punches. But I guess that's why they're called "bag gloves" in the description. And in that territory, they perform just fine. I would even say great.

No me quedó bien

Small hard but light
Watch out they're a little small... over all ok gloves. Hurts my knuckles for now... Its a little stupid that the gel technology is where your thumbs are!!
