GreenView Pure Grass Seed Dense Shade Mixture, 7 lb. Bag – Covers up to 3,500 sq. ft.

We've had a trouble spot on our lawn for a while now where we could never get the grass to grow in the shade beneath the trees at the edge of our property. Finally - this GreenView mixture for Dense Shade did the trick. It has filled in and looks great. It was a bit more, but definitely worth it. Great quality seed for sure.

This seed germinated fast in 8 days, keep in mind I manually dug/tilled/turned over the clay/soil 8 inches to break up the compacted soil. Added 10-10-10 to the soil.I added a layer of Lowe’s top soil. Follow the directions carefully and keep lightly wet and NOT soaked, I believe that is the key to this seeds growth.

I used this seeding on a couple of areas and was very surprised how the seeds started coming up in a week. It also seems pretty durable. My big project is coming this fall where i will seed with the hopes of having a great growth outcome next spring.

Two weeks later, no grass. Been watering every single day. if for some reason grass comes up in the next couple of days I will change my review. Of course you can't really return seed so I'm just kind of out of luck.

Really grows

Planted this under our trampoline where we had not had success with other shade seed. Came in great and it has been over a month and it still looks plush and green.

Only grass I've found to grow even halfway decently under my oak forest surroundings.

Grew very well in shade.
