The end is hard enough to get things out of your teeth but the stick itself is flimsy plastic and they can snap in half easily. Not sure if this is intentional, but it's important to note. The floss part is sturdy and doesn't snap easily at all, and it's easy to get around the tooth. Having said that, getting to teeth at the back of the mouth feels impossible.
