Will this run a shop vac and, or power tools?

I don't run power tools with this inverter. I am a locksmith I run my machines only. both machines are around 540W. if the tool is under 1500W then it should run the tool just fine. multiply the volts by the amps. that give you the wattage. a small shop vac should be fine.

Can someone please explain is this a 1500 watt or is it a 3000 watt ?

3000 peak, 1500 continuous (maybe not?). I tried a small air conditioner on it. I believe the AC specs said 8 amp startup. The inverter couldn’t handle it. I’m no engineer could it be the controller, not enough battery? IDK. I have run a small fan and a lamp (cfl) on it easily for some time, just not at the same time.

does it come with a 12volt connector? Or do I have to connect directly to the battery. My use case requires a 12 volt connection

This would be way over kill for a single 12 volt connecter. those top out at around 150 wats. this is 10 times that amount. You have to connect directly to the battery.

Can it power 1000 watts water boiler?

Yes, as long as it does not exceed the 1500 maximum
