Schacht 25" Variable Dent Reed

I love this item. Very versatile and easy to use. I modified it to work with my Ashford loom. I also ordered another one so that I would have enough pieces to do the same dent all the way across the reed; including these would be a good addition to the product.

I am Totally disappointed in this Schacht Rigid Heddle Variable Dent Reeds - Weaving Width 15" - Cricket/Flip!!! Schacht sells their 15” Rigid Heddle Loom with a full 8 dent reed, but when you buy their Schacht Rigid Heddle Variable Dent Reeds, the 5 dent comes with 4 pieces that only total a 9 1/2” weaving width, the 8 dents only total a 9” weaving width, the 10 dent only has a 7” weaving width and the 12 dent only a 7 1/2” weaving width. The description of the item is so deceiving!!! I expected for $98 plus tax that each of the 5, 8, 10 & 12 dent reeds would have a 15” weaving with just like the loom is sold with!This is one of the first time I didn’t read the reviews, because I thought Schacht would not disappoint their customers in such a deceitful way!

I was a little disappointed to find that it didn't come with enough cards to fill out the entire reed with each size. I was hoping not to have to buy any more pieces if I wanted to make a 25" project using 12 dent cards but it looks like I will have to. I've made two projects using this reed and the only major frustration is when the cards pop out which happened twice, once was user error due to tension, the second time was while I was flipping my loom open.

Did not have enough panels to fill loom in each size. Size 12 should have been enough to fill the full 15 inches

Like it that I can interchange the reeds but not as secure as I thought it it should be. The reeds are somewhat loose in the frame.
