The top is lined with nice clearly defined lines, you can add your own vertical lines if needed. The back side is blank for extra writing, drawing, testing your pens and pencils. I think its a good idea even though most tablets have lines on either side which is also good. I have both now and can choose depending on the situation. The paper seems of good stock though I am no expert. For papers I want to keep I usually put in a binder so with this paper I would have to use a hole puncher. If I had two preferences for this kind of tablet it would be that it would be somewhat less expensive (considering it is just paper with lines) and 3-hole punches already there. All in all, a good buy and nice to have around if needed.

These note pages are handy, but overly expensive. But I like them.Value? I’m still trying to feel it.

I recently ordered and have been using your Legal Pad with Date on Top, 8-1/2" x 11-3/4", Write Paper, 20 Sheets, 12 Pack. I love the date ledger at the top and the college-lined size but they are hard to tear off the pad. It's a good thing I purchased the 20 sheet size b/c once I've ripped the black portion it gets looser. But a fun layout!

I definitely wish the top had a perforated edge to tear off each page. I like that it has a dating system so you can identify when you made notes. I use them for conducting observations and often when using other notepads will forget to date when I conducted them, but with this one it's easy to circle before I start. Also wish there were lines on the back to continue writing instead of using the blank space or having to use a second page. Would like to buy again, but the lack of the perforated edge does bother me. When I tear the pages off, it leaves an uneven edge and I have to go back later and trim it up with scissors later to make it more usable.

Love these legal pads! They are thin, only 50 sheets per pad but I have multiple projects I work on where I need scratch paper and these work perfectly. Plus I oftentimes forget to add a date to my notes and like to keep things in chronological order so the dates at the top always encourage me to do so!

Works and has the dates across the top as pictured. I like to tear off completed sheets and then scan them in for my records. But the perforations along the top are too weak to reliably tear off a sheet. Will look elsewhere.

Bought these for their simple design and good value. The description states "Top design ensures easy removal of sheets". I bought the pack of 3 and thought they were great at first, however, the pages were not perforated at the top after the first 1 - 3 pages or so. Disappointed with this defect.
