The End of the Dating Moratorium

A fun romance with interesting, likelike characters. Perkins has a great conversationalist style, as if she is sitting across from you, telling you this story over drinks. She gets you smiling, and you stay that way through the whole book. As a former Psychology and Sociology teacher, I was especially impressed with the way she developed these diverse characters, and their interaction with each other. As a male reader, I got lost sometimes in the clothing and decorating details; but these details will be most appealing to the majority of her readers. Great leisure reading.

I love to get lost in a happy, summer romance novel and "The End of the Dating Moratorium" did not disappoint. Shelby Waterlane is a successful entrepreneur who knows herself well and takes great pride in her value system. Her adventures in dating were hilariously funny and entertaining as recounted to her friends and family, lovingly dubbed the "Dating Brigade." Perkins did an excellent job of creating relatable characters in a witty story that is woven with interesting tidbits about life as a high-end wedding planner in Texas. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and can't wait to see more from this new author!

The End of the Dating Moratorium is a refreshing take on the frustrations of single life. It is an easy read with great continuity and flow. She did an excellent job of making her characters feel like people you know (or are related to!), and maintains the romantic suspense for all of us who do believe in finding 'the one'. Great 'feel good' book with hope for singles everywhere!

I love strong female leads. And this story has them. A super fun, easy read that I could not put down. Good real life characters.

If you're looking for something fun and witty, here's your book. We all know someone who is constantly trying to matchmake. It's funny to see both sides. Loved it!

The End of the Dating Moratorium was a great read. The story is funny--and so true! All the interesting details of event planning were woven with humor, a secret cookie recipe ingredient, and the world of friendship, family and love. The characters are real as are the situations--with a contemporary, southern twist. It's a fast, fun novel. I enjoyed every page.

A great Summer read. Perkins did a great job exploring all of her characters. The story was both predictable and surprising in all the right ways. I really enjoyed Shelby's attitude and high moral character. I will recommend to my friends...for it is a nice escape into a funny and well-written book.
