Skechers Men's Elite Flex - Wasik Loafer

I was in the market for another pair of work shoes, as my other pair of Skechers was showing some wear, and I chose these, since the other model was unavailable. I am female with gigantic wide feet who has to wear orthotics due to being extremely flatfooted & having plantar fasciitis. Finding shoes I can wear to work in womens' sizes is nearly impossible (11.5 W in womens') so I wear men's shoes, which are far more comfortable and easier to find in my size. These shoes are absolute perfection! Soft, lightweight, durable and comfortable, they accomodate my orthotics perfectly, and keep me comfortable during the longest shift. I work in a hotel and I'm on my feet up to 12 hours a night, and my feet have never felt better. An added bonus is that they seem to be slightly water resistant-even more so than my last pair. I've worn them in the rain/dropped wet linens on them and my socks stay dry. However, if I stepped in a puddle they'd probably soak through. Their design is unisex-not overly bulky, sporty or masculine looking, very understated and nice looking with a work uniform. They slip on with ease and conform to your foot instantly.

I am overjoyed with this product! Living in Japan, it is very difficult for me to find shoes that fit. I end up looking only for shoes that fit rather than shoes that I like. On the other hand, it is very difficult to find shoes that fit comfortably when ordering online. Even if a shoe is listed as being the correct size, without actually trying it on, it's very difficult to know how comfortable it will actually be. I bought a pair of Skechers about 5 years ago when visiting the US and I found them to be the most comfortable shoes I had ever worn. The memory foam insole was what made them so comfortable. I had a family member purchase and send me another pair of Skechers with the same type of insole but the style of shoe just did not work for me. I have continued to wear my old shoes way past the time that they looked good because they are still so comfortable! I finally decided to order these new Skechers since the style looked very close to my old favorites, I ordered the same size and they arrived a few hours ago. They are an absolutely perfect fit and are really comfortable. I am so happy with these shoes that I had to write a review. Thanks Skechers and thanks Amazon! (I tried to purchase these directly from the Skechers Website in the US but they are not set up to handle international orders, much to my disappointment. Skechers are becoming popular in Japan but they do not carry them in larger sizes.)

Since 2013 I only use this shoes for everything, even to dress. I bought 4 pairs they are discounted and replace for something Skehers created that every time made a step got heated. This is the previous tech. I go for my 5 & 6 pair. Hope l no need more.

I wanted a pair of shoes I could just slip on the morning while I go outside and prepare food for some animals. I have to walk across some small jagged landscaping rocks that cannot be walked on with regular slippers. These shows are unique. The uppers are one piece of a remarkable material that stretches yet forms to your foot. This is great for someone with bunions. The wide width does not seem much different than the medium, maybe the difference is a little more generous upper, I'm not sure. Supremely comfortable from the first time you put them on. And there is no struggle to put them on. Now for what I believe are flaws. The heel is more padded than the sole so your heel is lifted. The sole is so flexible that having the heel lifted creates an issue, at least it does for me. The issue is I feel the need to prevent myself from falling forward. A less flexible sole, and a flatter heel would solve these issues. If you have healthy feet, it's not likely to be an issue, but someone that does not have good stability may need to take more care. Possibly this could actually help strengthen the feet since you have to use more foot muscles when you bend over. I solved this issue for myself. I had a pair of somewhat stiff insoles that came with another pair of shoes I bought. I cut them and inserted them. They make the shoe feel flatter and more rigid. Problem solver shown in the image. Also notice in the photo how the upper has formed around my bunion, and this is just after a week. I love them. They suit my purpose exactly.

The title says it all, really - these are supremely comfortable, they slip on without hassle and stay on securely. They're pretty lightweight also, I barely even notice I'm wearing them for the most part. The sole is comfortable and supportive for walking (which I do a fair amount of so this is important to me), not stiff. The thin top layer breathes well and is great for hot climates, I never feel like my feet are overheating despite 90+F temperatures (and I expect the same will be true when the temperatures get hotter). By the same token, they are probably not great for colder climates. I live in a warm place so I can wear them year-round, but someplace with actual winters not so much. I would also maybe avoid wearing them in rainy places, by which I mean they are absolutely fine for walking on a wet surface (it's a thick sole) but the top is probably going to let rain through and you wouldn't want to step in a puddle. I like them so much I bought a second pair shortly after the first just as a future spare :)

My husband works on his feet 16 hour days and so I wanted to find something comfortable and lightweight. My husband has super wide feet so the first pair I bought was a 10 his normal size but in extra wide. Those swallowed him whole. Returned those and bought another pair, this time I sized down to a 9 and just got the normal pair which are made wide. The description states these are a wide fit but I just didn't realize how wide. But the the 9 fit him perfect. He has been bragging about these shoes nonstop. He says they are the most comfortable shoes he's ever worn and very lightweight, easy to slide on. I can't vouch for how durable they are yet but I will come back and update. I got him the black with black soles because I felt like that looked more his age (early 40s).

Love how the meshy material stretches and gives and fits with more ease than any other shoe of mine (and I have tons!). I'm wearing them at the moment because they just feel so great. I did find there wasn't enough cushion on the foot bed, so I added an extra layer of cushioning from another, used pair of Sketchers. The extra layer didn't phase the fit on the top and side of my foot, and I'm happy now. I do think it'd have been a good idea of Sketchers to have spent pennies more and made the footbed cushier in the first place.

I intended to only wear these around the house but now I wear them almost everywhere. I had to get used to not having any side support but once I did no problems. Update: I reduced my treating because they only lasted a year and the insole started wearing out. Could probably new fixed by buying a replacement.
