Super easy to install. I also purchased the inside (toward the exterior of the car) part, which was gummed up, and gross. That was also an Amazon purchase. Between these two items, it was about $50 for this repair, and my body shop said it would be about $400. This item is clean, nice, and good quality. Very presentable!The installation took about 5 minutes. The part that this replaces was slightly tricky, but a butter knife and a screwdriver got it loose in a brief attempt - just pop it off. Then I replaced the main structural piece, which took a couple TORX wrenches to get out. This piece snapped right in, and it's as good as new. Very nice update to my old BMW. Loved being able to do this upgrade for so cheap!

Almost every X5 either has a problem with sticky door handles, or has had the door handles replaced (or has wrapped the sticky handles with tape, or paper towels, etc). This handle is super easy to install, you'll need a couple of small torx bits (one is a T20 I think, the other is really small, like a T5 maybe). You basically separate the outer part of this door pull/handle, using a slim flat screwdriver (carefully), you just pry the outer handle away from the inner handle (the sticky gooey one you're replacing) and you'll see the 3 (yes, 3) torx screws holding it to the door. There are 2 larger ones (the ~T20's), one at each end, they do most of the holding, and then one small (~T5?) torx screw at the bottom/lower end. Remove all of these, install the new handle using existing screws, snap/click the outer handle back on and enjoy a cool refreshment of your choice, paid for with the $$$ you save over those wasteful, less intelligent people who run to the BMW dealer and pay probably $200 for this simple job!!! :)

My old handle was falling apart and sticky. Just pop of the top cover and use Torx drivers to replace the old one. No need to take door cover off. Took 5 minutes. Direct replacement on passenger door on 2013 bmw X5.

I was really expecting a cheaper piece for the money but I took a chance. When I received it I compared it to the original. Looked identical. The install fitted up perfectly. I installed it on a 2008 e70 x5.

This handle is a perfect fit for my BMW and a fraction of the cost of an OEM BMW part. Don’t waste your money on a BMW part that nobody will ever notice. Buy this and watch a YouTube video for installation instructions. Super easy!

The fit and finish of this trim part is excellent. This particular part isn’t the easiest to replace as taking off the old one requires basically breaking the old one to remove. In other words, once it’s clicked into place, it’s there to stay (until you’re willing to break the next one). This is only an issue if you don’t get all the control buttons (particularly the 4 point mirror adjustment rocker) seated absolutely correctly before snapping into place. That isn’t an issue caused by this part - just a BMW design obstacle. You’ll definitely need a set of plastic auto trim pry-tools as well.

For any one with an x5 / x6 we know how horrible the passenger side door handle melts away. The oem rubber slowly melt away, the dealer quoted 500 dollars for this repair. This item was excellent, well built and simple to install … Looks better than new and also feels better at most it was a 3 minute install. Excellent purchase
