This product is all wet, as will be your floor.
In my many years on Amazon, I've left only a handful of negative reviews. This is one of them.I have no idea why this has a carrying handle on top, because you can only carry the top part. The base cannot be attached to the top part, unless you want to tape them together after each time you refill the tank. There's no locking mechanism to keep it in place. That means that after you fill it (more on that nightmare later), you need to transport both parts separately, or by holding them together. To fill the tank, you need to turn the base upside down, remove a twist-cap, and put water through the hole. You then need to turn the bottom part upside down and put it together. At that point, you need to turn the entire thing upside down again to transport it to where you're going to place it.While in transit, the bottom part leaks water freely --- there was a trail from the kitchen to the stand I was going to put the unit onto. As far as I can tell, there's no way to prevent that, because I tried various things to do so. Perhaps the base will stop leaking once it's set wherever it's going to be working. Perhaps it will go on leaking.I never got to the point of turning on the unit to see how it worked, because the two listed problems are enough of a deal breaker for me. The design is absurd, and it's also defective.I'm returning it via Amazon, and I do not want another unit, even if it's free. It makes one wonder how this got so mnay five-star reviews.

Never worked right, then died
Not sure if the 5-star reviews are legit. Much to like about this unit if it worked, but even then, there are design issues that make this more of a pain in the neck than anything. Mine arrived and after unboxing and reading the instructions, I added 4 liters of distilled water and turned it on. I saw a very nice mist emitted from the top. Things are looking good, then about a minute later, I got the red warning light. Followed the troubleshooting to a T. Got it working again, then a minute later, same error light. Went through the troubleshooting again, removed the water, let everything dry and tried again. The unit will now not power up.The troubleshooting steps basically described various issues when the unit is too wet, has water on it or similar. Why a humidifier would be so sensitive to moisture kind of defeats the purpose. Also, there is a lid that manages to fall off very annoyingly every time you remove the water reservoir. Bad design.Sorry, this one is going back and I am going to buy a low tech unit like I have used for years, with regular tap water and simple refill access.

Not perfect, but good enough
Purchased 2 of these for the cold, dry, Maine winter months. One in my bedroom and one in my daughter's bedroom. The product is sturdy and solid. They used great plastic for this device. Seals and gaskets are great, too. The carry handle is sturdy and I'm never worried about it failing. The 5L capacity means that I can leave the unit running on high for about 24 hours before I need to refill. The display is great. It shows both the room temperature and humidity. It also shows the output settings (high medium low) as well as the humidity setting (50 60 70). The night mode feature is great, too. I like that I can turn off the display at night with only a tiny blue light showing. The mist is cool. The machine makes a little most of noise - a light humming sound and some water dripping sounds. Nothing obnoxious. The cons - to refill the unit, I have to take a plastic lid piece off the top to access the carry handle. It's wet because it's the piece that directs the mist. Although the carry handle is on the top of the unit, the unit fills from the bottom which means water will drip on the floor when I walk the unit to the sink. Since the top of the unit is angled, it sits in the sink at an angle, which is slightly annoying to me, but doesnt seem to effect much.I've also noticed pink mold developing in the bottom reservoir. I can usually wipe it down without issue, but the nooks and crannies are hard to reach.Overall, the unit has some design flaws, but it's not bad. Probably will purchase different devices when these need to be replaced, but would buy from the same manufacturer.

Small issues, but humidifier does its job.
Pros:Stops spraying when set-point is reached.Lasts about a week when run at night at 50% in small room.Cons:One segment on my 7-segment display for the ambient temperature came not working. The touch buttons are very non-responsive. Takes a few presses to work.Does not recall previous humidity settings when reset (default is 50% at low - which is what I would want anyways).More expensive to on/off humidifiers.Summary:I was hoping that by purchasing a humidifier that controls to a % humidity, it would last much longer between fillings, but no change compared to my old one (in winter at least - I will update when summer arrives). While I dont regret buying this, my next humidifier will be a different one.

Easy to use and fill
Super easy to fill and setup. It runs quiet and has a lot of controls. I like how you can set your desired level and it maintains vs our old one that would just run non-stop.Looming forward to using this during the colder winter months
