Plain paper; Sturdy
These are as advertised: plain, white paper shields with attachable handles. The paper is nice and thick. They were perfect for a craft for my daughter's birthday party. I was able to draw on them with quick dry paint markers, and the kids ran around with them playing dragons vs. unicorns without the shields falling apart, so I would call that a success.

These were great!
These were perfect for my daughters party where the kids decorated their own shields before defending the castle from the dragon. It was a hit!! Only thing I’d wish for is maybe some durable adhesives for the arm holders. I just used packing tape and it worked fine but having already cut adhesive would be perfect.

Awful product
BLANK whitethin poster board in shape of shield. Flimsy strip of thin poster board to attach for handle wouldn’t last a second with child’s use. DIY did not mean putting it together as we thought. It means you’re coloring the shield as well. Pictures of item on Amazon do not represent what you get. Not worth your money or time!

Fantastic color your own shields!
These were a hit! The kids loved creating their own shields. They colored up a storm and added jewels etc. They were of substantial size too... almost as big as the kids! The material was thick and held up well to little boys dueling w/ foam swords.

Great Deal!
My students LOVED the size and sturdiness of these shields! We had a great time designing our own coat of arms, and transferring them to the shield.

Listing says "cardboard" but they're just paper
I'm pretty disappointed. This item has a lot of positive reviews, but the shields in question aren't made out of cardboard as the listing states.I've edited my review because the seller gave me a full refund and provided great customer service. The description should still say "cardstock" instead of "cardboard".
