Ballarini Brenta 7-inch Hollow Edge Santoku Knife

This knife should be five times more expensive. Full tang, forged, sharp, comfortable, no staining. I'm buying a full set of the Ballarini knives at the prices (around $10 per knife). They are just as good or better than the Henckel ones that cost $25-60 per knife. The full tang bolster is something that's usually found on even pricier knives in the hundred range (Henckel 4 star and pro lines). Why? Because they're made in China and not Germany. But the steel is Henckel steel from Germany. If you don't care about the "Made in ..." writing on your knife then there's no reason to choose the Henckel main live over these.

Designed expertly by longtime German cutlery company Zwilling although made in China. Very good handle. Uses real German steel. Knife holds its edge for a long time.

I was looking for a high-quality, well-built, forged steel kitchen knife set and I was unable to find “the perfect set”. So, I opted to buy individual knives and built my own. I wanted knives for every day use, sometimes use and my all-time favorite, seasonal use. I purchased a 4-inch paring knife, 6-inch carving knife, 8-inch serrated edge bread knife, 8-inch Chef’s knife, and my accident waiting to happen knife…the 7 inch Santoku knife. All of these are very well balanced, are comfortable to grip and slice everything with ease. I received ooohs and ahhhhs from my husband when he walked in the kitchen and saw them for the first time. I have room in my knife block and will be adding more in the future.

I originally ordered this for traveling as I didn’t want to bring my good knives in case I left it behind. However I found the knife was very good quality having a full tang Using it was a pleasure and it is a great knife for the price. Since I also use their cookware I felt secure in buying this.

This knife exceeded my expectations big time.

What do you want me to say? It's a good knife and it's cheap and it honestly gets the job done better than I thought but it's not going to blow any heads. A good knife is More about how you use it and so long as it's sharp enough then you're good to go. I would recommend but I don't know how it will last over a few years. Doesn't matter cuz you'll replace it anyways

I’m glad I bought this knife. Handles all my cooking projects well. Sharp n comfortable and is high carbon stainless steel. I’d buy it agai.
