PAPERCOAL Buckram Hardcover Diary Notebook - Dot Grid, Black

I have been using this notebook as my journal for the last 5 months and believe it’s one of the best journals available in the market in this budget. The pages were finely enough for me. The binding of the pages is also great. The notebook feels sturdy and extremely premium. The looks of the notebook is also great and it feels good to touch. The overall finishing in the pages and the making of the notebook is awesome. There is a pocket at last where you can put some documents. The quality of the paper is really smooth and the thickness was enough for me. But after using it the band of the notebook gets loose and at one point you can’t wrap it tightly.

One star deducted is because of the price for quality, even though overall quality is good, it is not as good as the price for it.It has a back-pocket, and an elastic which does the job. Also has bookmarks.The pages are good, eventually they bleed and ghost but nothing earth shattering, you can use a pen that disposes less ink, i have been using a black gel pen in .7. The square grid gives whatever you are writing a low effort aesthetic upgrade and structure, especially if you struggle to keep it neat usually. It is a must try page print type. And this is a great journal to give it a shot. The writing experience is also smooth the material of pages and the binding both is good but i would have loved it better if it was better done. It is also a great size and grid for someone who wants to get into journaling but empty pages cause overwhelm, these comparatively fill up faster.

I have filled 2 of these (red and blue in 2025) and I've ordered a yellow one for 2026.Just believe me, these are the best,. THE BEST journals out there (on Amazon). I have tried 5 more famous and best selling brands but all of them had some or the other problem. No bleeding at pages at all. Very very smooth pages, i would actually say that the pages are the smoothest, it's a treat to write in one of these. Oh the functionality is just perfect! Two bookmarks, back pocket, LAY-FLAT design! Yes a lay-flat design that others claim but none have. Very smooth pages. Good quality pages. The look is Great too. The other brands i ordered are now being used as my rough notebook for problem solving because they didn't even come close to PAPERCOAL. They didn't deserve to be written-in daily.PAPERCOAL IS THE BEST OF THE BEST JOURNALS.CLOSE EYES! SELECT IT! AND ORDER IT!

Value for money

It's just nice. I used for a while now everything is just fine I write with fountain pen and it does hold it pretty good but it's elastic came off, I didn't stretch it that much I was pretty gently but it came off after 1 month of use it's pretty early for a notebook elastic to fall off. Will I buy it again probably yes but those buying it for elastic please consider accordingly.

Lays flat, smart size (a B6? i am not sure but it is the size of your regular journal and diaries) a back pocket, buckram cover. i wish to use this for bullet journalling in 2026 and i feel like it's pretty perfect for that purpose. the pages are very smooth and my only concern is whether it will sustain various inks or not, i guess i will only find out after using it. will try to update about the bleed quality. also, i know this has a pretty standard number of pages (192) but bullet journalling generally requires a thicker journal. sooo, another thing we're going to find down the road. worth my money!!yeah the pages look kinda yellow in my photos but they are not like that at all trust me

I would say the diary in itself is good, I wanted a small size that could fit in a backpack and is also not unnecessarily heavy, the criterion this one fulfills. Although I do feel that they should reduce the price cause there is nothing very unique about this. It's a normal diary and it doesn't look the amount charged. The paper quality is good though but again the number of pages are less which is ideal for its size but the price should also complement the same.

I have the Sunshine version & it is great. Paper quality is great. Cardboard used is also great. Purposefully chose yellow color because it is different.
