I used this as a transition between tile and the outside at the door so that metal part is a little above the tile. This is a solid aluminum extrusion with enough 'rubber' to seal the threshold from the elements. My door is 32" so a hacksaw and miter box made quick work of it. Make sure you cut a little from each end to keep the screw holes centered. I did not need the rubber door bumper so I removed it leaving only the little round part between the metal and concrete and tiled just next to this piece. I used blue tapcon screws to anchor it and added some epoxy for good measure. Added silicon caulk between the tile and this piece. The door sits above this piece so that the inside of the door is near the square edge. I also used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I199Z8 on the door to keep the buggies out. For this I needed to add a tiny ramp on the floor to keep the square metal lip from pushing the rubber door sweep out of position.

Used this for an outswing exterior door and it worked great.

If you have to cut this down in size to fit your opening, the outside holes are so close to the end that you may have to cut them off. Would be better if it were a five hole design or of the outside holes were closer to the center.

I needed it for the back porch door . I measured it for the half inch height / width . I am by no means a carpenter. Three screws included and I now have a threshold to keep weather out . Thanks

Easy to cut

Works great, better to have plastic seal on door than walking on rubber threshold parts.

This threshold is durable, made from thick metal, and a good draft stop for your door. I had about a 3/4" gap I needed to fill that was letting in cold air. After trimming this to the size of the doorframe and screwing it down it worked like a champ. Would recommend this product any day.

Does the job

Exactly as shown. Made of heavy-duty aluminum with 3 recessed screw holes. Expect it to last a lot longer than a plastic alternative... Even though I had to cut off 1.5 inches on each side to fit it in, I could still comfortably use the end holes as they are made over 2.5 inches away from the ends. I like the fact that there are rubber seals along both front and back. See photos for additional details on the product and rubber seal.

Just received it today and it was scratched all the way through. Very disappointing
