Trumpeter1/350 Scale USS Cole DDG67 Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer

The good: Tons of detail, dozens of tiny parts for what promises to be a hyper-accurate model kit. Photo etched parts are included for some cool detailing.The bad: The decals for the deck markings are blank, leaving me to paint them by hand...tedious and almost impossible to mask off--unless you do the paint work before assembly. The forward superstructure is a little shoddy and takes an extra amount of skill to make fit. A few of the tiny pieces are impractically small.Overall, it's not a bad kit, but it's a pain to build. The end result looks adequate, and some painting tricks hid some of the evils. I have about fourteen ships in this scale, and this is the one I am least impressed by.
