I pulled out an old 'local' Nylabone and it didn't fray like this one
I've bought the same size Nylabone for my dog locally since 10/15, a 50# spaniel/retriever mix and not a heavy chewer. She loves these things and we've had no problems whatsoever, with each bone lasting a month or so and I only replace when she's chewed the ends down to nubs. These seem different: the bone shredded very rapidly where chewed, so I pulled it from her after a couple days. I tried it twice more & it shredded into long ragged 'strips', and the ends had jagged pieces that cut her gums during the last chew. I pulled out an old 'local' Nylabone and it didn't fray like this one. I've had hunting dogs for years and am far from a complainer, these just don't seem like real Nylabones. I only bought these because I was traveling and couldn't get 'em from the usual place.

Two Dogs, both Nylabone Addicts, neither would touch these
HUGE waste of money. Though my older dogs both relish Nylabones in original and bacon scents that I've always gotten from the stores, these were a complete bust. They won't touch them. Makes me wonder why... ???
