Wentworth Prison: Season 7

Seriously... WTF?!!... No Way...
Shame that 'Wentworth Prison' isn't as well known and as popular as 'Orange is the New Black' - it is such a good show.Personally, I prefer 'Wentworth' to 'Orange'; as it is grittier, yet still has humour (there is a reason why this dvd is certified 18).The inclusion of Aborigine tradition has been fascinating, and Leah Purcell as Rita Connor is such a good actress. It is also fun learning about common words and phrases of another country: far out, sook, and spoof (thanks Boom Booms) stick in my mind.I'm still confused about the ending though, - (no spoiler alerts here) - and hope that the talented writing team have not outdone themselves. When we have a cure for this flaming bug, roll on season eight. I just hope Vera Bennett (played wonderfully by Kate Atkinson) is allowed some lasting happiness. How much more can one woman take?!!

Impressive and very underrated drama
I’ve followed Wentworth with interest over every season. It hit UK tv screens about 5 years ago but is rarely mentioned in reviews or recommendations. I think it’s an amazing saga that explores just about everything you can think of. There’s love, loss, violent relationships and reactions, drug abuse and drug rehab, illicit affairs, poor management, corruption, undercover work. The list is endless. Production values are spot on with great filming and quality work all round. But what really drives this drama are the characters. They’re so real that it’s difficult to think of them as actors. Boomer Jenkins is crass, vulgar, funny and also touching. She personifies the role she plays so well that we forget she’s acting. The same is true of all cast and they are totally plausible. There’s strong plotting with recurring storylines and great development. Brilliant all round. This three disc dvd has bonus material on a couple of the discs. Disc 2 features behind the scenes on set; a fascinating glimpse of characters, the actors, their props and the actual set. Disc 3 has cast interviews. Both are worth a watch and add to the watching experience.

Fantastic
Ordered this along with season 8 part 1. Both arrived together the next day.Absolutely love this show. Being a fan of original Prisoner Cell Block H, it's great to see a lot of main characters but with different background stories & the actresses who play parts now like Marie Winter, Sonia Stevens, Rita Connors, Vera Bennett have made their versions of the characters just as great as the originals.Even if you have never seen PCBH, this stands out on it's own as an original & brilliant show to watch. Highly recommended

Such a good season
Fantastic to have wentworth prison on bluray. Image and sound is great. 2 discs, 5 episodes on each. All info about episodes and special features are printed on the back of the cover. Such a good season but so heartbreaking that way Kat left the show and that gripping finale was amazing

""You don't know me, well I don't know youuuuu""
Phenomenal action packed 7th Season after the boring snooze fest that was Season 6. I absolutely love this season and I am SO happy I saw it on Region B/2 Blu-Ray for the UK release. Aussie shows are always so late at giving us Brits a release for things in our Regions but better late than never, eh? 😍😇
