If you do a lot of soldering and board repair them I want you to see the best flush cutters in the industry. These small and compact flush cutters are the perfect tool for those that like quality tools. KNIPEX is know in the car repair world far and wide. Every mechanic in a dealership or body man/painter has KNIPEX pliers and cutters in their tool box. This particular pair is the most useful to people that do computer component level repair and general electrical component repair. If you need to snip legs off hole thru board projects or work with soldering wire then buy these. I know you can get 5 cheap Chinese flush cutters for the price on this one tool. What you don't get is HRC 64 hardened cutter jaws that stay sharp for years and comfortable handles and a design that won't launch the legs of components from hole through construction boards. You don't have to chase the snipped legs flying through the air or have your wife get mad as she hears them getting sucked up in the vacuum or your child finding them in the carpet and eating the little tiny pieces. Customers hearing the pieces rattle around in their desktop computer case after you worked on their PC. I think you get the idea now. See my attached photos on how they work when I cut a small piece of solder. Position the wire or leg between the center retaining bar and the cutter and snip! The wire will be held by the retaining bar. Are they getting more worth it now? Only downside is while they snip legs they also grow legs. So be careful they could walk off.

These flush cutters are wonderful. I've used them many times to snip excess CAT6a wiring and have never had a problem. Allows for a very accurate cut.
