I had to order it 2 times cause this first one never showed up. I’m hoping for a refund for the first one. My second one showed up and it worked amazing!

Do yourselves a favor and take the cover off before you install this unit on your 5th wheel and add some more extreme pressure grease to the bushings, shafts and gears. There is very little in there from the manufacturer. Other than that, it fit perfectly and works well.

The landing gear on my 5th-wheel broke and I needed it fixed quick as I couldn't get it off my truck. I wanted to run to town and purchase what I needed, but while I was looking for availability my wife went straight to Amazon. It was half the price of anyone local and was promised in 3 days. It was worth the wait. Not only did I save money, it arrived a day early! Packing was fine and it only took a few minutes to get everything working again. Thank you!

I was out in the middle of nowhere with my 5th wheel Toy Hauler, when the plastic housing on the original Gear Box broke , leaving me in a bit of a pickle because I couldn't lift the trailer enough to get it above the hitch. After some redneck engineering I got it up and on my truck. Called local trailer sales and couldn't believe what they wanted for one, and it was plastic. I wasn't in that much of panic, so left the trailer hooked up to my truck, and I ordered the Stromberg Aluminum housing Gearbox. From what I could find, this is the only type of gearbox that are on all landing gear. Two days later it was delivered, and 20 minutes time to replace it, then bam, I have working landing gear again. I did order an extra for a backup just in case. As much as I use the trailer this one should last for many years, but I figure at this price, it is great insurance. Highly Recommend getting an Aluminum Stromgerg.

A little noisy but works great

Not a Stromberg Carlson part but worked perfectly for my 2003 Keystone Cougar 295 with Fulton landing gear (apparently Fulton doesn't make any replacement parts for their landing gear). The part isn't black and is made by Venture MFG. Co. Despite the misleading pictures and title, the part is solid and works well.

I had posted a question about a noisy gearbox, but as it turned out it wasn't the gearbox but the new motor I had installed at the same time. So far so good.
