It's subtle, but it works
I use this oil for chronic muscle and nerve pain in my neck. When I have a pain flareup, this helps calm it down. It takes a little while to kick in. Usually I rub it thoroughly into my neck and shoulders, and after a little while I feel like it didn't work. But every time, after an hour or so I realize that I'm in noticeably less pain. It doesn't kill 100% of the pain, but it does significantly take the edge off. In fact, it seems to work as well as my prescription Voltaren topical gel, and I much prefer to use this oil since it's far more natural. Most of my pain lies just beneath the skin in my neck; I'm not sure this would work well for pain deep in the body, but it works on the nerves in my neck.I appreciate that the herbs used are either organic or wildcrafted, and that they're suspended in organic olive oil. I also like that this product uses a synergistic blend of herbs, and especially that it actually contains effective amounts of the herbs, rather than homeopathic "extracts." So many "arnica" products are actually homeopathic dilutions of arnica, which means that they essentially contain no arnica at all. Homeopathy has been shown time and again in scientific studies to be no more effective than a placebo. So I was glad to find a product that actually contains arnica. This oil comes out bright yellow, though it won't appear yellow on the skin as long as it's rubbed in completely. The bottle does warn that it may stain clothing, and given how brightly colored it is, I wouldn't wear light-colored clothing when using it. I haven't had an issue with it staining any clothing, but I'm careful to rub it into my neck thoroughly. The smell takes a little getting used to but now I quite like it. It's a sweet, mildly floral but also rather earthy smell. It's not overpowering though once it's on the skin; I don't tend to notice the scent after I've applied it.A little bit of this oil goes a long way, and so I expect it to last a while. My bottle says it's good until August 2021, and though I will definitely have used it up by then, it's good to know it has a long shelf life. Overall I'm happy to have found a natural and organic alternative to my prescription topical painkiller for occasional pain flareups.

Takes the itch away from eczema
Updated: This oil has been liquid gold on the eczema patch on the back of my thigh~ after nightly applications, it started to heal the eczema in just a few days, and the itching went away almost immediately!! I had not been getting any relief from the itching for some time, so this is a miracle~ will continue to use and benefit from the healing effect on my skin. Expensive for a small bottle, but I think it’s worth it.Tried this as a last resort natural remedy for some scaly, itchy eczema/ psoriasis ? on the back of my thigh, and it immediately took the itch away~ now hopefully it will allow my skin to finally heal, but only time will tell~ so far so good though.

It works
I nearly lost a digit at the hardware store... An employee dropped a 1000 lb. stack of plywood on my finger. I rushed home and put this trauma oil on it and I did not so much as bruise. The injury should have caused me to at least lose my nail, but I fully recovered with no nerve damage or broken blood vessels. The product also worked to quickly fade the massive bruise I sustained wedging my arm in between the stack of wood to get my finger out. Overall, this is a great item to have on hand in your first aid kit if you smash a finger, get smacked in the head with a 2x4 and so on.

While I didn't experience relief others have so my advice is to try it as it is reasonably priced.

Great For Bath Salt & Pain Relief Blends
I think my hopes were a little too high for this small bottle of Trauma Oil, but I do like and appreciate it. I'm a fan of Arnica, and I like the combo of it with St. John's Wort and Calendula. All 3 are excellent herbs that should definitely be explored for those with muscle and joint pain, bruising, soreness, and tension. Most people know of St. John's Wort for its ability to work as a natural antidepressant. But originally, long ago, the herb was used as an analgesic, to help relieve pain. The getting happy part was simply a happy accident.Calendula is well known for its skin healing and soothing properties. I drink it in herbal tea infusions, but I'm also infusing it in vegetable glycerin oil right now to use in skincare products. This product is not as effective as I'd hoped for chronic pain flare ups, but chronic pain can be extremely hard to relieve topically or with any one thing. I believe this oil has the potential to help some people with mild pain, bruises, sprains and inflammation. But for anything severe, there will have to be more multifaceted treatments involved, such as an antiinflammatory diet (turmeric, ginger, dark leafy greens, tart cherries), stretching, exercise (resistance training), myofascial massage, vitamins, minerals (magnesium), and natural anti-inflammatory supplements (hyaluronic acid, MSM, glucosamine), proper sleep, and stress relief.Pain relieving, muscle-relaxing herbs (meadowseet, white willow, blue vervain, skullcap), brain boosting nootropics (l-theanine, GABA), and herbal stress relieving adaptogens (ashwagandha, rhodiola, holy basil, astragalus, eleuthero) are incredible for that, and feeling calm and at peace makes chronic pain a lot less difficult to handle. Also, although it's natural, this Trauma oil is a dark yellowish orange, so it can stain your clothes and be kind of messy. Otherwise, I think it's worth a try if you're looking for alternative remedies or medicinal plant oils to mix into another blend.I personally wish I'd just gotten the infused oils seperately, which would make them more versatile to use. However, I've used this product in a few different homemade natural products, including various bath soaks and a pain relief blend, and all have been effective. If you're dealing with severe or chronic pain, I don't know of this will definitely help you, but it's worth a try. Going natural is always a safer option than not.
