The Cheesecake Factory: The Unofficial Copycat Recipe Cookbook (Restaurant Copycat Cookbooks) Paperback – June 2, 2019

Bought this specifically for the Lemon Meringue Cheesecake recipe, BUT the recipe has neither cream cheese nor meringue. It basically takes lemon zest and juice then mixes with condensed milk and cool whip placed in a pre-made graham cracker crust and refrigerate for a couple of hours. This is not a Cheesecake by any stretch of the imagination. I have been making cheesecakes from scratch for 20 plus years and can tell you this is a big disappointment. The other recipes look to actually be Cheesecake recipes so I am no too upset about spending the $3 for the Kindle version, however had I paid for the hard copy I would not be too happy. You have been warned, if you are looking at this for the Lemon Meringue Cheesecake recipe from The Cheesecake Factory, keep looking!

I never would have bought this if I had known that every recipe is not what’s in the description. Almost every single recipe involves cauliflower. I like cauliflower, but I wasn’t looking for a cauliflower cookbook. Also, there’s not a single cheesecake recipe in this. It has 4 dessert recipes. Cauliflower rice pudding, cauliflower chocolate pudding, cauliflower chocolate bars, and cauliflower chocolate Chip cookies. I’m super disappointed with this book and would give it negative stars if I could.Edit: I downloaded the sample and it was legit recipes from the restaurant. I thought, oh, they must have fixed the problem. I bought it again and it's the same book of cauliflower recipes. What the hell? What kind of ridiculous nonsense is that? Amazon, fix your shit.

Some of these recipes are no longer on Cheesecake Factory's menu. Some seem like they may not be really close to the real recipes, but all in all there are some things worth trying. I will edit my review after trying some of these. I bought this book for the salted caramel cheesecake recipe. I tried three times and each one came out like garbage. I've been making cheesecakes for 18 years and the worst that had ever happened was a cracked top. These rose over the top of the springform like a souffle and settled into a heap. They taste ok. But with those ingredients, why wouldn't they. I should've just got a recipe from Pinterest.

I loved the recipes and plan to try everyone of them. So far they have been "right on" for taste and consistency.

Few recipes

It had some really wonderful receipies that I liked at their restaurant. Now I can make some of the same things at home for other than special occasions.

I purchased this cookbook to get the Cheesecake Factory's recipe for orange chicken, however after reading it there is NO way it is correct. The Cheesecake Factory's actual orange chicken has boneless chicken breast breaded pieces and the recipe in the book gives a recipe for bone in thighs.

Was desperate to find the Godiva chocolate cake recipe so purchased the book. It’s not the official recipe book so hope it will turn out nice... haven’t tried it yet. That said it could do with illustration pictures, is a little rough and ready, but if it delivers on the taste then I will forgive that shortcut.For those amateurs out there of the Godiva chocolate cake, you can purchase it occasionally at Costco but also get it at Creams so you can now have that fix satisfied on between US trips

Highly annoyed after buying this as none of the recipes in the description list are in the book. Waisted my money on dishes that are only cauliflower based with no actual desserts or CHEESECAKES!!!!!
