I occasionally make myself a sauté dinner consisting of raw meat, raw vegetables, and raw garlic. I was due for a new knife and decided to buy this one after seeing good reviews and the price being a value. I've been very impressed with how well this knife cuts and chops. Without having to use much pressure with my hands, I'm able to easily slice and chop raw garlic, slice raw meats, and slice raw vegetables. 2 raw meats I've used it for so far are boneless pork loin and raw wild caught calamari. 3 vegetables I've used it for so far are broccoli, cauliflower, and zucchini. It does an excellent job slicing raw zucchini.

I was looking for a large knife with a reasonable price to facilitate my cutting work while cooking.I used it now several times and I am very satisfied: it is really sharp, has a very agreeable weight & has a good grip. A very detailed care instructions are included with the knife (see picture), which will help to enjoy it for a long time. Conclusion: very good knife for a very good price.

Very sharp and easily cuts meat and veggies with no struggle. Easy to clean and has great balance in your hand.

For the price this knife is well worth it! Right out of the box it was very sharp. I did the paper test right away and man, it cuts through the paper like butter.Few things I wanted to talk about is when the knife came out of the box. When I opened the box, and got the knife out, the knife poked right through the little protective plastic piece. The tip of the knife seem a little dinged up because of that. I assume the knife was probably moving around in the box or the box was dropped. Even the sheath was poked right through as well. The knife looked very beautiful. Very well manufactured. Unfortunately there are some horizontal scratches that runs up and down along the knife's edge. It wasn't too noticeable but on certain angle you can see it.By all means I am not a professional chef or a knife expert. Just someone that likes food and cooks at home quite often. I pulled couple things things right out from my fridge to test out this knife. It cuts apple just fine but my Tomodachi Santoku knife did do a little better. I've tried it on other veggies like zucchini and it worked great! Given with my noob knife skill, I can still manage to cut a pretty thin slice with this knife. Like other reviewers said, the knife is a little handle heavy. This doesn't bother me too much. My hands are about medium size and the handle is quite comfortable to hold. Right out of the box at the handle you can see dried glue right around where the plastic was glued to the tang of the knife. This wasn't a problem neither and all I did was gently scrub it with a sponge while washing the knife and it comes right off.In conclusion, the price for this knife is unbeatable. So far I like this knife even though it had some minor flaws coming right out for the box but given the price, it doesn't bother me too much. Seems like this knife will go a long way.

This is a very good quality knife. It's the only big knife I own and I use it almost every day now. Good value for money.

I'm very happy with my purchase! The knives come sharp too. I love the handles which are great for balance. This is my second knife purchase of the set. I bought a larger knife and was equally happy. Very good quality.

good value, looks great, easy grip

This is an excellent knife, especially at this price. It's got real weight to it and is extremely sharp – much sharper than my previous kitchen knife. In fact, be careful! I was cutting an avocado and the knife slipped, just grazing the tip of my finger slightly. The wound was pretty impressive. (Obviously, this was my own fault, not the knife's.) Overall, I highly recommend it.
