I tried to put this together just thinking it's a simple nut but there's more to it than that just go the easy route buy the whole adapter kit like I did but it took me a minute to figure out that was going to be the easiest way well worth it.exact match.

it's would seem Murray has used a rather random mix of different styles on decks of the same model. Be sure you compare what's left of your old part with the picture or you might be in for a surprise. This particular one works with the blade adapters that go inside the recess on the mandrel housing, it does not work on the ones that overlap the mandrel.

A good purchase when rebuilding your mower deck or just to have on hand. If you hit something while mowing these tend to crack or break which allows the blade to get loose. Always a good idea to have the extra nut around Incase you loose one.

Kit contained nut with coarse pitch threads instead of fine pitch as required by spindle. I've been working on mowers for 40 years, I have NEVER seena blade retained with a coarse thread nut.

The packages (we bought 2) were missing a washer (only in each box) which really complicated the install. If it comes with 2 washes then I was really unlucky. Kinda disappointed about that.
