Surprising what $20 will buy.
I have had a Leatherman for years, occasionally I set it down and misplace it for a few days or even a few weeks but always eventually find it again. It has now been all summer and it could be lost forever, but the costs for replacing one of those is too high right now, especially when it still could turn up again. So I was tired of not having a knife/multi tool and so decided to buy a Workpro, and just see if it can get me by for now. Well I am absolutely thrilled with this knife! I actually in some ways like it better than my Leatherman. I like that unlike my Leatherman, all the tools access without opening the handles up. The locking mechanism is stout, almost too stout until I put a little oil in it which really loosened it up. The saw is new, my Leatherman didn't have that and is quite sharp. The knife blade wasn't super sharp but well hollow ground, and a minute with a diamond sharpening rod had it to near razor sharpness. The scissors I feel are superior to Leatherman's, almost as good as Swiss Army ones. All the screw drivers seem very useful, the straight screw driver blades are ground a bit narrower than the Leatherman, making it more useful, but potentially more fragile too I suppose. The only downside I see is the weight of the Workpro, but that isn't that big of a deal. I would hope that the added heft will make it a stronger tool. Time will tell, but this multi tool ain't no junk, that's for sure!Edited. As I use this knife I am liking it all the more. It feels like it is going to last a very long time, not a piece of junk at all. A very small gripe I had was that the stainless metal was for the most part quite dull, including parts of the handle, the knife blade etc. So I took a small piece of scotch pad and shined it up, then used very fine steel wool to finish it off. It looks so much better now (see photo). Took around a half hour to do this.

Solid Budget Multitool on First Impression
Pros. I like the heavy duty feel of this multi-tool. The spring pliers open smoothly and align well. The outside accessible tools fit tightly and seem well made. It has all the tools you could want on a multi-tool except a serrated blade. There are five tools that flip out easily into a locked position on one side and four on the other, and they release by press-in locks on either side of each handle. The locks work well after loosening them up a little and getting used to them. The three-sided file's cross-pattern side feels like it has decent abrasiveness. Due to smooth operation, well placed nail nicks, and the clever way the tools are sandwiched into the handles, any tool can be easily snatched out without the others coming out along with it. There is a thick, "3D" Phillips slotted into the middle of one handle. Cons. Slightly heavy, as expected from a budget multi-tool. The saw is a little wiggly, but could be tightened with two torx wrenches. It also seems light and "plasticy," but also sharp enough to do the job. Overall, though, solid construction, generous tool selection, and a well thought out design make this a very good multi-tool for the price.

Value Multi-tool Needs work to be Great
This can be a Great for the Value multi-tool but it needs work, first the tool is very stiff, I would break a nail before some of the tools would deploy, and the lock/release tab is Very stiff and hard to release the tools. The pliers made a grinding sound when using and the knife blade was dull. So after using WD40 to clean all the tool joints, a lot of dirt/residue came out, then I used Nano oil to lube all the joints and the pliers and worked them back and forth until they started to move easily (I had to loosen a tiny bit the screw on the knife side because the tool were so stiff) I also had to work the work the lock/release tab back and forth with another screwdriver to loosen because it was almost unusable. I had to sharpen the knife properly. Now the good news It now works Great! for the price, the tool is heavy duty and feel very solid all the tools are work nicely, although the pliers are for light use like electrical wire or soft steel, I used them to cut a small hard nail and it marred the cutters (I had to fix with a small file and it works fine now). It also fits in my maxpedition single sheath along with the Leatherman bit adapter which adds 14 more bit options to the work pro. I used all the tools and no problem in their function all work good, not as good as a leatherman but get the job done. This tool compared to leatherman is no contest the leatherman is so much better in feel and function for a tool you use frequently, but if you use it only occasionally or want an extra tool for your vehicle, or you don't want to spend the money for a leatherman this tool is very good if you put a little work into it.

Great value for the money!
I've carried one of my two Leatherman waves for twenty years. When my daughter expressed interest in a multi-tool to spend her money on I helped her with the research. We chose this one based on price and reviews. After getting it in the mail, I went through each tool on it. First impressions are that its very tight to open when new. I imagine with use it will wear in like my leathermans have over time. The handles feel sturdy and definitely do not have flex when gripping. The jaws are just fine for what they are. The pliers handles are spring loaded to stay open for easy one-handed use. a feature that my leathermans do not have. The scissors also have a spring to keep them open when in use. The only thing I dislike is the lock system for the in handle tools. It is too tough for my 8 year old to pry the lock back when attempting to close any of the tools. Hopefully they will wear in. You can make it easier by slightly opening another tool on the same handle to push the lock back slightly allowing you an easier push on the lock to fold in both tools. For the money, I will likely put one in each vehicle and the boat.
