ETA PRIME WAS RIGHT! Great for retrogaming and retropie
Definitely eats my raspberry 3b+, for sure. Ugly little thing, but i am impressed!! Bought another as a backup for the future. Ran killer instinct 1 and 2, nfl blitz2k chd versions at 60 fps! 98% flawless in my opinion in emulation; retropie via lubuntu bionic beaver, mame, old arcadia. Not so good at the psx, n64, dreamcast, med-high gen systems FYI. My intention w this was to emulate killer instinct 1, 2, nflblitz2k, sfiii, sfiii2, and sfiii3 chd versions almost 100% And i did, sweet!!Bluetooth and wifi are ok, but need antennas. Use ethernet whenev possible otherwise.Needs more memory, i used a 2TB external storage device and usbromshares w no issues, but you will need to bump up to 5v/6a power supply at least or will occassionally shutdown. Now it will run some dreamcast, psx, etc. but not all of them. Only some, trial and error for me. For cpu games, atari, mame, fbalpha, neogeo, neo geo, old arcadia, runs just fine, yes indeed, just fine. :)Heatsink is huge, but needed. Mine gets warm but never hot, even after 16 hrs straight of play/testing. The fat boy on this thing keeps it cool.Love the big breakout board for the extra usb and rubber feet on the bottom for stability.Didnt test the class D amp, i used hdmi audio. Also runs youtube very good. Ran some 4k with no issues, fyi. But i only use it for gaming.Fun toy. Compared to my odroid xu4 and rpi, definitely more easy to get up and running. (Still love those, but they cant emulate ki, ki2, blitz, and the streetfighter chd versions to my standards, but the atomic pi did :)Special thanks to ETA PRIME on youtube. His video on killer instinct is the reason i purchased the atomic pi in the first place.Great goto on youtube for tips on setup for the atomic pi as well as other single board cpus and retrogaming/arcadia.

Great product. Works well. No issues with any components - x86 compatible across the board.

So far it is okay
I got Ubuntu 18.04 LTS installed, then installed pfSense but you have to edit /boot/loader.conf and add the following lines to keep it from hanging. It is something to do with BSD and the Atom CPU. I now have Debian Buster running great and will post updates here.To install pfSense and more than likely any BSD, I tried FreeBSD but it hung at the uart error and I didn't feel like finding how to disable it.First you have to hit 3 from the pfsense install menu:then type in the followingset hint.uart.0.disabled="1"set hint.uart.1.disabled="1"boot the with vi edit the following file; /boot/loader.confhint.uart.0.disabled="1"hint.uart.1.disabled="1"Good luck!
