I was surprised by the very affordable price of these filters but was a little skeptical until they arrived at my home. Upon opening the first package and looking at the filter, it was identical to the original manufacturer's filter, which is much more costly. I followed the directions and installed my new Excelpure filter. You do have to run some water through it, per the instructions as the water will be dark until you purge your water system but this is common, even with original mfg. filters. The water and ice taste wonderful with all the impurities gone!! We use our filtered water for lots more than just drinking or ice too. It goes in our coffee maker and we also use it for our dog who also loves the nice clean fresh water. I would recommend these filters to anyone looking for a replacement filter!!

It works ok. In order to enhance and prolong its life we also have a large filter on the input line to our refrigerator's water dispenser and ice dispenser. The combination of the two filters doubles the filter life.

I can still get the taste of the chemicals from time to time of I would have given five stars.

These fit a number of refrigerators including my Kirkland. They work as designed.
