This doorbell is really nice there is no battery in the button it clicks in a very satisfying way the doorbell plug has different volume settings I have it on 2/4 I believe and that is plenty loud enough it's very smart and modern looking. It comes with the cable required to record your custom ring sound and it couldn't be simpler to do it the instructions are actually quite clear. Also, my dog used to bark every time my old doorbell rang now he only barks if he sees the person at the door which is huge improvement especially if my son is sleeping.

The media could not be loaded. Fantastic design of the receiver, but design of the transmitter is far from impressive.... it's like they are from the different sets. Love the idea of downloading your tune. Amazing quality of the sound, !!!BUT!!! when paired the receiver does not receive the signal properly. Sometimes you can keep pressing the button dozens of times with no response, which is annoying and very sad..... would be perfect and only choice if worked properly. have to return this one with broken heart.(. Nevertheless, i'll give it another chance., which i hope will be lucky. if so, i'll update my review, hopefully with positive and happy feedback.

Good points:Its great that you can record your own sounds in - great fun.Its very easy to install - its mains powered without needing any wiring - just plug it in.The receiver unit is discrete and not unattractive.Bad pointsIt doesn't always work. The bell push has no battery, and relies of getting a good firm, long press to send a signal to the receiver. About half the time it just doesn't ring, which kind of ruins it as a doorbell. It's a doorbell that tells you that there is someone there.....sometimes.If you accidentally knock the buttons on the side of the receiver, its easy to turn the volume down by mistake, so sometimes, when it does work, it too quiet.

Plug and go. Does what it says, fair price. At the end of the door it’s a doorbell.

I wanted a cheap doorbell that I could play any song or sound I wanted, this one fit the bill. Bit confusing recording the song but I got it to work eventually, sounds great and has several volume levels as well as some pre-recorded ding dongs. Will be fun for parties, Halloween and Christmas having custom doorbell songs!

Bought this primarily for the custom aspect, however getting it to record you choice of music or soundclip is seemingly random at best.I'd followed the instructions word by word, connected it to my phone, started playing my sound clip, shortpressed one of the three buttons so it went into recording mode (even tried shortpressing first and then playing my clip on several occasions). This was where it didn't work, the instructions stated to either shortpress a button again or to pause it on your phone to get recording mode to stop. This part was inconsistent, it took 10 attempts to get this to actually stop recording on time instead of just waiting out the 40s and refusing to actually record.When I'd finally gotten it recorded and set up as my doorbell, the volume was uselessly quiet. This isn't to say the speaker itself is quiet, oh no it's perfectly loud with its own installed melodies, yet mine was not. So I tried to fix this by re-recording, making sure my phone was at max volume (with it once again being an absolute pain to actually get it recording properly), only for it to make no difference what so ever. I even tried plugging it into a Bluetooth speaker at max volume, but I couldn't get it to record that at all.Only reason it's getting 2 stars is because if used for the base function and with base melodies, it's perfectly fine as a doorbell. However the custom feature is unreliable and so quiet it fails at the purpose it was bought for.

I really love this.I have a ring video doorbell which I received free from BT. It worked great for the first month but you have to pay a subscription to get the full benefit, which I didn't want to do.This has a couple of normal ding dongs but you can also have music like a waltz, happy birthday, a Christmas jingle as well as others and you can even record your own music. I must warn you though, the music goes on for 40 seconds and seeing as we only have a small house, it can seem to be endless, but hey, if you live in a mansion, thenyou'll love the musical chime, but for me, I'm happy with ding dong.If the sound is on high, sitting right next to the speaker, it hits 94dc, that's very loud, so no excuses for not hearing it.My house is over 150 years old with 3ft walls and theres no delay or interference.I did make a video with the sounds, but unfortunately it wouldn't load onto this site.

I bought this based off the previous feedback and the range it offered (500ft). Sadly this does not seem to be the case.My front door is at ground level and that's where the button is, I have the receiver 2 floors above (which is nowhere near 50ft let alone 500ft). I don't have any other electrical appliances in the way and it should be a very simple path for the signal however it simply does not work.The doorbell only seems to ring when I have the button right next to it. I have resynchronised the unit but it still it does not work.Not a happy customer.
