Fender Electric Guitar Strat Accessory Kit - Black

Fits my Fender Stratocaster perfectly. It’s the original one, and so far I’ve only installed that. I’ll deal with the pickups cover another time.

Five stars for price, five stars for quality, but there are things you should know that the product description does not state. If you have a right handed Stratocaster with single pickups then this kit should be an easy install. But if you have a left handed guitar, don't expect the backplate to fit without some modification. The first thing you will notice is that the screws in the middle are offset and do not line up. Now why would Fender bother with offset screws instead of having them straight across from each other? Just to mess with us left handed people! This part sounded easy enough, drill two tiny holes (or leave the screws out) and use this backplate anyway. Except that is when you notice that the string hole is slightly off center too. You can't replace your strings without removing the entire backplate now! The seller (GO-DPS) was very helpful in trying to solve this matter but doesn't sell a left handed kit so I began a long search to find a replacement. The internet wasn't very helpful so I began calling local stores. It's honestly surprising how many people I've talked to that are left handed and just play on right handed guitars because parts are so hard to find. One of these left to right guys finally found my backplate- directly from Fender and made to order in just three weeks time and the low low price of $30 plus tax and shipping! I'm happy to say that I am using my original white backplate with my fine black accessory kit and I am the only person who has even noticed that it doesn't match. It is the back side of a guitar after all. Hopefully I can save some other left handed buyer's time, frustration and money. Buy this product for the knobs and pickup covers, they are fantastic and easy to install, plus the cosmetic difference is astounding for not much money.

I have a 2006 Mexican Standard, and the plastic accents were getting a little scuffed so I figured it was time for a makeover. The finish was tobacco sunburst with white, and I didn't like how dirty the white got, and how readily the scuffs showed in the white, so I decided I was going to get off-white, and was surprised by how many options there were. I was back and forth between Aged White and Parchment, and I will admit that the final decision was literally a coin toss. Man am I ever glad that it came up heads, because I love this finish. it is the perfect degree of yellowed white, and really does look like legitimately aged bakelite. I decided to replace the pickguard with a red tortoise, and the off-white/cream color of these accessories really complements that better than the white does, and I'd suspect probably better than the Parchment as well. I'd strongly recommend looking up on google a comparison between all the finishes, I was able to find someone who had purchased all of them and laid them out side by side. The major critiques I have though, and which lost this set a star, were primarily due to the small details. The backplate didn't fit perfectly right. I don't know if this is sized for the American standard or what, but the hole placement was about 1/16" off. I had to bondo and redrill. Similarly, the holes in the backplate where the strings were supposed to go through were 1/8" off, and it's a pain to get the strings into and out of the holes without taking the whole thing off. It's minor but it's worth mentioning. The spindle-shaped accent that goes on the end of the vibrato arm was similarly just-slightly-the-wrong-size-for-my-Mexican-guitar, I'd guess somewhere in the realm of 1/64" too small of a diameter. I couldn't even hammer the thing on all the way. I couldn't heat it up and get it to mold around the arm. It's currently on about halfway and looks good enough, but that's the absolute best I could do. I don't know if there's a secret science to these or what but in the past when I've changed them out I've just slid the old one off and the new one on but for whatever reason this was just slightly too small and impossible to get on all the way. Besides those complaints, it's more or less exactly what I wanted and overall love it.

It matched my prewired pick guard perfectly. The video might make the color look more yellow but, the parts are tan/beige. Except for the back plate, I would call that cream. The tremolo tip was a very tight fit. I had to put it in hot water to get it to go on the bar easy. Good value for all of the parts. Received sooner than expected.

Five stars! I ordered the black Stratocaster accessory kit, and it is perfect. Made in USA, genuine Fender parts, same stuff as goes on their guitars. I have a 1991 American Standard Fender Stratocaster that I have owned for over 20 years, and I was bored with and tired of the white knobs, pickup covers, etc. So I ordered this black accessory kit and a tortoiseshell Fender pickguard, and swapped in the new for the old. All parts of this accessory kit fit my '91 American Standard Strat perfectly. It is now like having a new guitar, a new love. If you are at all considering changing the accessories on your Fender Strat, this kit is exactly what you are looking for, and for such a low price, it is amazing what a difference it can make completely changing the look of your guitar.

Used these when upgrading a Chinese Strat, great value for the money. Everything fit well, when ordering make sure these will fit your pickup size. Would buy again.

Everything you need to switch over all the plastic parts of a strat to black. Best of all, genuine Fender parts. Would have been beeter if I could have got a set with a black scratchplate though
