This thing is made really well. I use it to hold small parts I tap.

This vise has many problems, first of all the grooves or rail like section has factory defect so when tightening it there seems to be an obstacle which does not let the vise close by just turning the screw alone. You need to unscrew it few times before you can tighten it. This item can be used just as a weak holder but definitely not precision vise. It becomes loose easily even if the work is properly fastened. When fastened with any size item in the vise , then the edges do not align .

It's a solid aluminum clamp with decent clamping torque. One thing I don't like is the handle. you can't attach a socket to it to torque it down to spec which is a bit of a downer but it works pretty well.

The one that I got is very strongly built and with smooth finish, possibly made of aluminum. Very minimal up-push when tightened if not none. Bushings for lead screw is welcome and is very smooth. Overall a good little tool to have when working with small projects. Definitely recommended. If you are really picky, then the provided T-nuts and 4mm screws for securing the clamp are too small bearing in mind that the holes are 5mm dia. holes.

Very happy with it but don't expect it to handle heavy work. Its useful for pressing small gears onto shafts related to my hobby
