Does the valve restrict flow when it is wide open?

Yes, this valve controls flow perfectly with the faucet wide open. But we will still turn off the faucet after finish the shower.

Can't get a dripless seal between delta shower arm and female thread. Even tried 6 wraps of teflon tape and pipe dope! any ideas? Nice unit.

May be a faulty unit. I used only 1 or 2 wrap of Teflon and no pipe dope, NO drip at all. Try fewer wrap and a rubber gasket/seal inside (like the one in outdoor faucet hose).

Will I be able to use this along with my chlorine filter that my shower head is attached to?

I don't see why not. You can choose to attach this to the pipe out of the wall, or after the chlorine filter and before the shower head. It is very sturdy - but I think I would put it "last" in line, so just before the shower head. The threads are the same standard size for any shower, so assuming your filter is that size then you should be just fine.

I need to replace the outlet gasket with a mesh gasket. What size gasket is it?

Hello, the diameter of the gasket is 0.72 inch(18.17mm) and the thickness is 0.1 inch(2.57mm).
