Kwikset SmartCode 915 Touchscreen Contemporary Electronic Deadbolt Featuring Smartkey In Polished Chrome

Damaged original screen protection, tiny scratches on the surface, force me to believe this is a used and open box product. Not yet installed, will add more comments after that.

Bought two for the look and because of the ability to change out the keys. As I installed them, I realized the original door handles were also the same color and brand from Kwikset. That was an awesome coincidence. The only issue I have is that the 0 key on both sometimes does not function and then I can’t get the door to unlock. I have to wait for it to time out and start the unlocking again. I’ve always been able to get in but it worries me.

Bought this lock to use on new set of french doors I installed as part of a garage conversion project.Likes: Love the idea of not having to a use a key OR wifi/phone to open the door; touch screen security is great; very modern lookDislikes: the lock I received was an open box/re-stock/not new. The lock mechanism had been modified in an attempt to use in an alternative direction. The lock had to be taken apart and put back together in order to work properly. If I don't purchase a refurbished item, I don't expect to receive a refurbished item!!!

Love the key less option, works well and no issues with battery life. I think that the reviews from others who had battery issues was due to the dead bolt perhaps not being unrestricted on their door. I made sure I had no restriction and have had no problems what so ever.

It doesn’t work properly and always beeping until you manually have to unlock for the beeping to stop

Pros:Attractive, sleek designKwikset generally makes solid productsKey backup has smartkey, which means you can have it set to any key you'd likeCons:keypad works about 80% of the time when I'm locking it (palm over the whole thing, then hit the lock icon)****Only works about 10% of the time when I'm trying to open the door*** - I put my palm over it to wake it up, then it illuminates 2 numbers to press before showing the whole keypad to put in your code. the vast majority of the time I can not get it to recognize that I'm pressing the numbers. On the rare occasion that it does, I have the same issue again when inputting my code, often then causing the code to be wrong. About 9 times out of 10 after pressing on the numbers over and over, trying different fingers, different amounts of pressure etc I just give up and use the key. Will probably be OK for a back-up in case we ever lock ourselves out, but a waste of time for every day use. Had planned to give guests the code to get in, but we will save them the frustration and just give a key.It was one of the first improvements we made on our new house and didn't use it for a quite a while after that (renovations before we moved in) so by the time we realized how badly it works it was too late to return it.

My husband loves this thing, and I love that I don't lock myself out anymore. LOL AWESOME purchase. So easy.

I love this lock. Every part of it from the stylish looks to it’s ease of use. I highly recommend it.
