Rustic Red Olive Wood Chess Set- Luxury Edition- Wooden Chess Set

My first impression was that it was a very neat looking set and at first glance it looks very nice. Upon closer inspection I found several flaws, that for the price had me concerned. First I noticed the poor craftsmanship on the drawers. The handles was glued on with eccess glue showing. The drawers are made with pine on the sides and a composite wood floor which hurt the overall finish. The drawers don't function perfectly as they stick at times and you can tell they have a rough finish.The peices do not all match, not sure if different types of wood was used but again a it takes away from the finish. Also the glaze on the pieces looks sloppy thick globs from running make them look hasitly prepared.Overall a very neat and functional centerpiece, but for the price I would expect better craftsman ship.Also I know dimensions were provided, but it was smaller than I imagined. I included a picture with an average sized dinner plate for reference.

It is nothing like the photos! It is much smaller, the quality is terrible and the craftsmanship is very disappointing! The chess pieces are very light and don’t sit straight on the board. The board itself is much smaller and looks to me as if this was a woodworking project for a class of some sort. One of the drawers broke the first day of use and now won’t fit back in after glueing. I know you’ll say return it, however after putting it together and playing it a few times, the returning process is too difficult. Lesson learned- IF YOU WANT SOMETHING NICE, SEE IT IN PERSON BEFORE PURCHASING!

Very disappointed when this arrived. I wanted a nice set for a gift. For the price I was very disappointed. Although looks nice much smaller than I’d have guessed. The pieces are tiny and light. Looks like a child’s toy.
