Product was easy to assemble and proved excellent. I thought by buying a chimnea with a long smoke stack would help counter the effects of smoke blowing around when windy but that’s a no go. Just have to fire up when less wind and I’m ok with that 😎 I decided to paint it with metallic spray paint and I’m glad I did because it’s looks incredible. Great buy!

The initial assembly was very easy. Supplied screws fit and worked as advertised. The "patina", as they call it, was simply rust, rust and more rust. A "Lot" of rust. So much so that I had to break out my sandblaster and my wire wheel to clean it up before assembly. I painted it with High Heat BBQ Black and we're good to go. Works well. Holds more and larger pieces of firewood than I thought it would. Wife is thrilled and I actually like it. It's not bad, other than the initial cleanup, hence the three stars. It does what it's supposed to do, and does it well.

I liked this when it first arrived, but it very quickly rusted and broke to pieces.

The media could not be loaded. Extremely durable, well built, great for warming up a cold evening. Enough space for the wood provides the options for a small fire or a bigger fire to warm up everyone around it.Flue stack keeps the smoke from blowing directly onto anyone.The screen is wonderful for keeping embers from fying out both in the bottom opening and the smoke stack.The bottom screen latch is a bit inconvenient because it does get hot, but not a deal breaker. Excellent value for the money.

I should have known better than to purchase this outdoor chiminea. Our previous chiminea was made of pottery and lasted 25 years! It developed a crack and it was time to replace it.I fell for the allure of this one because it looked cool and had a bigger opening and base for larger pieces of wood. It was tall and that was important because we wanted the smoke to stay above a certain height.Assembly was straight forward and although it was cumbersome to rotate while assembling, it could be done by one person. A word of caution: The orange color is not from oxidation. It’s from paint. Expect this paint to be on everything it touches while assembling. Including your hands. So once it was assembled, I put it in place and started to set it up.Here is some advice about any outdoor chiminea: don’t just toss wood in it and start burning stuff. You need to have a proper base to protect the chiminea from overheating which eventually leads to failure. To protect the base, add about 1” of smooth gravel rock followed by 2lbs of reptile sand. This stabilizes the chiminea and makes for an amazing base that can get very hot but not damage the chiminea from hot wood.Okay: Now the bad stuff....* The intake/exhaust ratio is WAAY off. The mouth of this thing is HUUUGE. That’s good, right? Sure. It is good. It’s good for larger pieces of wood and more warmth .... wrong...take a good look at the design. We see a large intake opening and as the design goes up, the exhaust shrinks...and shrinks. To make it worse, it’s getting taller as it’s shrinking...that’s inherently the opposite of what should be happening in a chiminea. As the wood combusts, The large intake brings in large amounts of air that burns the wood and turns into smoke and rises. Yet it’s rising into a much smaller space and the space gets smaller then has farther to travel. This means:* Smoke does not come out at the top. This design needs a smaller intake to minimize the air in so the combustible air can escape out the top. Instead, it comes out the front....like...all of it. Flames, too. At one point, flames were rolling out of the front intake and lapping up the front because the air could not escape out the stack* screen door is HUGE. Better not have anything in front of the chiminea by 3-4 feet. The door swings so wide and is so low, you can’t have anything in front of it. The screen is also flimsy and it was bent when it arrived.* they used styrofoam to pack this thing. When it arrived, it was not damaged but it was a disaster. It’s painted orange and the orange mixed with the styrofoam as the heavy pieces crushed the styrofoam during shipping. Tiny orange covered styrofoam was everywhere and it was impossible to clean up fully. It was a mess.* on the first fire, as noted in my photo, smoke came out the front. Sure some comes out the top but most came from the front. Yes it does this with the door closed as well. Because of this, it blackened everything in front of it. Not cool. I also noticed that on the first fire, some of the metal began delaminating around the door. The metal is laminated in sections for strength but the first fire showed that the metal bond was not strong at all. This won’t last a year.Honestly, I could take it back but what a mess that will be. Can you imagine taking it apart now? Now that most of the orange paint has come off and has been replaced by real rust? And the soot? There is no styrofoam as it mostly disintegrated. Can you imagine the poor Amazon returns staffer that has to inspect this madness?Instead: I’m going to attempt to redesign it for those that purchased this horrific nightmare.I’m going to remove the screen and tac weld a solid piece of copper across the whole thing except for an 8 inch oval. That’s 5” exhaust and 8” intake. That *should* allow the smoke to exist and prevent the smoke and fire from coming out front.If you don’t have that gumption to DIY this, DONT BUY IT! This thing is poorly made and is a poor design.

Easy to assemble, nice big fire pot with screen door. Burns hot with nice updraft.

Update, I received the replacement. Again the packing was pathetic and this time the top was smashed down. There was no packing on either the top or bottom. I'm just going to beat out the sent and move on. Three stars for the item and 0 for packaging.It arrived badly dented at the front base. Looks like it was dropped from a height. Missing hardware which probably fell out of hole in box. The item itself is average quality. The base is solid, no drainage holes so no wonder it rusts out for some. We mainly bought it for its sculpture styling. Amazon is swapping it out we'll see how the replacement fairs.
