Product Description Ananda’s plant-based marshmallows are handmade in small batches in a traditional way in a 100 Percent vegan and nut free kitchen in the heart of Derbyshire, UK. We use only real vanilla extract, natural flavours, real fruit and vegetable colourants with no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives. Ananda Foods is an independent, artisan bakery entering their 14th year of trading. A genuine small producer, with all their products hand made by a small team of six. The Ananda’s range encompasses vegan and Gluten Free diets, establishing themselves as producers of unique, quality confectionery. Ananda’s marshmallows are the only vegan marshmallow set with Agar instead of Carrageenan, making them suitable for IBD sufferers and those with a sensitivity to food additives. We do not use any clearing agents, stabilisers, or ‘whitening’ colours in our marshmallows. 100 Percent vegan and reassuringly Vegan Society Certified. Taste fine, texture fine, but price..not.
What you get is a small pack, inside a bigger box of fine tasting 'mallows, that...yes...I get it, they Vegan/Vegetarian Friendly and all...but they cost like seven quid...and sure, they have to make a profit but you only get 80g, which is not much...to ship it, Amazon had to stick the box in and Box...I am of course happy to say I have been Vegetarian for almost 10 yrs and yes, being Vegan or vegetarian normally costs more but £7 for a really rather small amount of 'mallows, is a little insulting...So, I would say, they really do taste nice and the texture is not too bad...but when it comes to it, the cost is like buying something imported...and I am sorry but for me, I couldn't recommend and think I will probably just avoid 'mallows in the future, they are not really something I like anyways, just a shame they are so over-priced, I was gonna make some Home-made Rocky-Road...oh well.Hope my Review helps people decide whether they are willing to fork out for them when they (to me) are over-priced and that anandas look at this Review and do something about cost and packaging (foil packed 'mallows, packed in a Box, then boxed by Amazon...that is not good)...Regards.

A Fairly Good Product
The delivery arrived sooner than it was estimated. The flavour is nice but the texture is not as soft as other marshmallows and I think that's due to being Vegan thus no eggs are used so they're more dense. I'm vegetarian so I eat dairy as well as fruit, veg, pulses etc. If eggs were used I think these would be as squishy as normal marshmallows due to the air incorporated into the meringue mixture when whisked before the agar powder and sugar syrup are added. The size of the marshmallows are okay - the size of OXO cubes. However, regardless of the pro and cons I shall be ordering another box but of a different flavour which are probably the Mocha and Coconut because these are the first marshmallows I've had in 15 years!

What a treat!
I bought these for a friend at work who is a Vegan. She really loved them and said the flavour was wonderful. I did not give them 5 stars as the postage was nearly the same as the actual box of marshmallows so ended up being nearly double.

For vegan food, not too bad.
Nice enough, not something I'd replace proper ones for if it wasn't for a vegetarian partner.Very few in the bag though - enough for two hot chocolates and that's about it.

Vegan, yummy & beautifully presented
I purchased these for my husband as a gift.They are extremely well made & beautifully presented. Delivery is prompt & packaging good. Product is tasty & as vegans we appreciate their existence as not an easy product to obtain - even I tasted a tiny piece and thought it flavoursome & I hate marshmallows!
